A bit of a debate on here regarding trainers today and it made me realise how many good boxing men we have training our champions and prospects today So if you are a developing professional with a decent bank balance who would you ring up hoping for the opportunity to work with them I know we don't have the chance to see them work regularly in their environment but we do see the progress made with their fighters or any negatives of course as well I think a good trainer is a good technical, tactical and physical coach who understands when to graft and when to taper down So how about the ingles, tibbs, shinfields,Gallagher, booth,Lockett,McCracken, eames, nelson, mcdonnell,Oliver Harrison, sims, greaves, hatton and the hundreds more I can't think of or don't know Please no nelson and burns slating,I think billy has proved he is a great trainer in the way his fighters improve under him For what it's worth my choice would be rob McCracken or Oliver harrison
McCracken or Booth stand out at the minute. Shouldn't really judge people by their posts on here but Nelson strikes me as a bit simple although he's done well with Burns. Gallagher has done a good job with Quigg.
I agree on Gallagher and quigg I also think arnie farnell deserves praise for his work with Paul butler Couldn't call this best trainer In Britain as there is no answer to that and none of us have working knowledge but McCracken is a hugely impressive man with froch and the gb squad Don't think he would be my first choice to go for a drink though
Is there a bigger ***** in British boxing? His behaviour before the DeGale - Groves fight was a disgrace.
Lee Beard seems to be pretty good, just a different name from any of the others that have been mentioned.
