Tyson post-prison was a good fighter but he just wasn't THE MAN anymore. Thanks for the post and thinking about it, in a way you're right still you can't count this as a "win" if you try to study and/or compare his resume to others. I love Trinidad too but he still "beat"(I hate saying this even as a Tito fan) DLH. Everyone knows it's a robbery but it's still a win for Trinidad when it comes down to it. Even Pea-Chavez is a "draw" though I love & am a fan of both fighters. I know what you mean dude again, thanks for the post.
Interested how everyone gives Greb special credit for fighting blind in one eye but not Frazier, who fought his entire pro career blind in one eye ... all the nonsense about Joe's chin .. how many men could be blasted like he did without seeing it coming and weather the storm ?
Definitely lost it in early 1966 according to Joe, Yank and several sources ... kept it quiet so he could fight pro ... classic story of memorizing the eye charts and cheating the docs w Yank ..
I think it happened in sparring in 1964 with Frazier. He wasn't blind but had severely impaired vision. Something bordering on the legally blind line I believe.
Joe Frazier is one of the toughest fighters to ever box in the heavyweight division and a top ten atg no question BUT he never had to face a fighter with the physical advantages and skills that wlad brings. Frazier could ice wlad if he can land that famous left hook but thats a big if. Personally i rate frazier higher than i ever will wlad but in this one i think wlad probably wins on points i can see him holding and leaning on joe and picking him of with the jab.
Joe Frazier would set a faster pace than Wlad is comfortable with. Even in some of the early rounds in which Wlad may win he will be forced to expend more energy than he wants. Joe Frazier had an outstanding chin and his ability to slip the jab and get insde is the key. Wlad doesnt have enough of a warrior`s mentality. He may stun Joe a couple of times but he`ll never finish him if they fight 100 times. He could never stop Joe. On the other hand Frazier would grind him down into a fine powder by the mid to late rounds. Joe Frazier TKO.
Frazier. The dude beat Ali, and brought arguably the greatest left hook the heavyweight division has ever seen. Frazier's movement, workrate, and body assualt would trouble Wlad to say the least.
IMO, Frazier's workrate and left hook would be neutralized by Klitschko's size and defensive skills. If Frazier was bigger, his relentless style would be more effective. If they fight three times, I think Wlad wins two.
People on here comparing Wladmir to Foreman? Even Foreman had to walk through a few left hooks to land his bombs Wladmir aint walking through anything, sorry.
He was KO'd by opponents who have no KO's on their resume except Wladimir Klitschko. KO'd by featherfists
