All those "flops" were before anyone knew who he was and still did better than most PPV's! 800k vs Guerrerro is no flop! The Ghost was a nobody, that's amazing numbers.

Floyd did over a million vs Ortiz for **** sakes! C'mon son, dude is one of the biggest draws of all time, the numbers don't lie.

If you are Show and paid Floyd $32mill then you might see it a tad differently. Not like everyone else worked for free.

I guess but put into perspective, it's proly a top 20 all time PPV number wise, how can that be a flop vs a guy like the Ghost.

IF, and we don't know yet, the promoters/backers overpaid and it lost money then it 'flopped'. This is an OLD show business term so we can't just start redefining it now. If Floyd's guarantee wasn't so high and he was just getting upside then it would have been a success for all involved. By definition, if the show lost money, "it flopped". Again, we don't know this to be fact.

...because it was so huge they have a hard time counting it? It may even take centuries counting the sales up, for all we know. :conf

There was no official release from hbo for that fight either. Only Richard shaefer claiming that it did 1.25mil.
