Does Andre Ward suffer from the same problems as the Klits?

Not really. The Klits make a vast amount of money while Ward doesn't. The reason Ward doesn't is that no one cares about him and his soggy career.

Andre's only problem is he likes talking more than boxing. He'd be rich and well liked if he'd just fight once in a while. He's almost at retirement age and he's only had about 24 fights. I saw a thread from 2012 get bumped the other day where people were complaining that he barely ever fights and he fights even less since then.

 

The reason is that the Klits fight regularly and Ward doesn't. Wlad Klitschko is 38 and fought 65 bouts. Andre Ward is 30 and fought 27 times. By Ward's age Wladimir was 47-3. At that age Vitali Klitschko was 34-1 and retired as a kickboxing champion and compiled a 30-1 record as a boxer.

They fought twice as often to make a name for themselves and keep their name in the public consciousness. How do you raise your profile as a boxer? You fight better opposition and you fight more often. In recent memory Donaire, GGG, Kovalev, and Stevenson all fought four times in a year and made themselves stars. Ward had a lot of heat coming out of the Super 6 competition but he let himself cool down. When you hear about Ward now it's because he said something stupid or he's suing his manager again, not because he is fighting.

 

To the guys who talk **** all the time about the klitschkos.
Wlad fought very good fighters in the last 8 years and beat them without droping a sweat.
He beat byrd, ibragimov, Peter 2 times, Brock, Thompson 2 times, Chagaev, haye, povetkin and now he is fighting the next number one contender. So FU ck off, he is allways fighting the best contender there.
He is cautious, but he barely loses a round. And he can knock out his opponents unlike ward. He knocks still 85% out. Ward is feather fisted and the most Boring fighter ever. His best punch is his head. He has no balls that he calls out only smaller fighters to come to his backyard and get fuc ked around by the officials. So yeah i hate watching ward. If he is this good then move up and fight kovalev and prove that you are really that good.

 

That's an unfair comparison vitali and ward are nowhere near as boring as wlad

Retirement age??

The guy has a very technical style and is 30.

He has another 10 years before retirement.

 

Wlad is fighting in September.
No one knows when Ward is fighting again.
