The winner of Geale v Barker on August 17th will have to defend agaisnt the winner of Feliz Sturm v Predrag Radosevic on July 6th.

Will have to defend the title within 120days.

he needs to win an eliminator first. He lost to Geale via SD and Solimon tested posative for PED's after the last fight.

It'll be Barker v Sturm within the 120 days then.

  5. Barker v sturm is a good fight

Still think sturm has a lot to offer technically so good, better power than is given credit for,he is just so frustrating when he fights in spurts although maybe that's become more necessary with age

This is why barker needs a belt, one notable win and he would be in the mix.look at macklin and his credit is due to 2 honourable defeats

Sturm looks always so tired in his fights. His workrate dropped in the last years. If he does something it still looks good but he is not busy enough.

I think it is because he has to lose 20-30 pounds of weight each time he fights In the last years he lived a bad life for a boxer. Drinking a lot of Cola (Cola light:!:) and eating unhealthy food. He himself admits this. It is not good at all when you always have to lose that much weight to make middleweight. I still think he is a good fighter.

  7. Definate world class and well capable of being a belt holder again

I started a thread on best jab in British boxing, well sturm has one of the best in Europe he spears opponents and uses it so effectively to set up combos

He had it sure. In his prime it was one of the best jabs in the world. Oscar said it himself. But now he really looked over his prime, still good, but not like he used to be. I think if he takes boxings serious again he could beat a belt holder again. (as you said). Will be hard but never say never. :good Sturm will fight again in July.

Remember featherfist Ottke knocking Mundine out cold? Never saw Ottke knocking a guy out like this. It was really strange. I could not believe when it happened.

There is something fishy about the Sturm - Soliman fight....Soliman tested positive with his A sample but negative with his control B sample. Despite the negative B sample the BDB won't overturn their ban on Soliman or the amended decision of the fight. Stinks to high heaven.

I can see Barker beating Geale comfortably in this one
