Is there any actual technique that he is able to teach that 99% of the other boxing coaches can't?

Going by your logic there is nothing special about any coach simply because you could learn the same **** from 99% of the other boxing coaches. Roach is a good trainer and has improved some fighters. He is better with certain styles just like most great trainers were/are.

You'd have ta have watched Freddie work with fighters for years ta truly appreciate him...He's like a great jockey that fighters trust implicitly

Good offensive trainer, not so much a great defensive trainer.

He improves a lot of fighters offensively he helped Pac and Khan's offence was better when he was with Roch (I'm not saying it was a bad decision to chance trainer I like it but he was more offensive under Roach)

Khan's defence was much better in the Maidana fight than in his previous fights under Hill.

The fact that he was on his bike most of the fight helped a bit too, lets be honest.

Yeah thats part of defence, not being there when the haymakers start flying.

Khan's covering up was much better also.

He's good at taking good fighters and taking them to the next level with the help of Ariza.

If you're an amateur though, you'd want to get with Nacho, Virgil, Pedro and Mayweather though

Just look at some Pacquaio fights when he was with ****** Fortune and some JCC fights before he hired Roach and u gonna see what is so special about him. Roach is a HOF Trainer, it is not his fault that Khans chin and Brain is pure garbage and that Chavez jr is a spoiled lazy pothead.

He teaches secret punches to certain guys that are guaranteed to win just by feinting them.
