Callum Johnson knocks down Groves?

  1. Doesn't surprise me Groves is a softy he will be stopped when he gets in there with the big boys

  2. Fastboxer needs to visit the general
He would definitely fit in better over there

  3. Callum Johnson fights on Friday on the gethin bill
About time he has been criminally inactive

Callum was always a talented boxer I seen him a few times in fights and he was always very fit ,now with regards gym talk many boxers get hurt in sparring yet would always beat the sparring partner as like most we never no the true facts about what actually happened .I think groves is a bottler as he refused to box Kenny Anderson in a rematch so I not his best fan

on his feet, he wasn't on the floor.

  6. I'm not groves biggest fan but he doesn't strike me as a coward and he would walk right through kenny Anderson now

He may beat Kenny, but not a snowballs chance in hell he walks through him.
I think he'd fight Kenny early much like he fought DeGale then look to turn up the pressure later. If he gets into a brawl with Kenny he's greatly increasing his chance of losing.

  8. When Anderson was battering journeymen I thought he looked the business
Tough intimidating ******* but the Reid fight and his personal issues mean I would strongly favour groves if and that is a huge if they ever get in the ring together
I would like to see kenny back,it looked like Hearn was interested he got his belt he had fought so hard for and then disappears

It could well be true, Booth took Groves & Lee to spar with Johnson as well as Paul & Callum Smith.

It all adds to the hype behind the inevitable Froch - Groves clash. The comment by Groves on Behind The Ropes was definitely set up in my opinion.

  10. Best point yet

Why hasn't anybody else come up with this

Callum Johnson has terrific potential if his activity could be upped.

    Sorry grammar police.

merely stating fact groves never hid that froch had him over in sparring,so don't understand why froch making big deal of things like some big revelation when groves revealed this in boxing monthly before the first froch -kessler bout and said he wasn't ashamed of it but got up and gave it a good go back.

Im a fan of froch but think given how frustrated he was not to have got the calzage fight back in the day now he in that position he would have a bit more respect, especially considering what froch did to calzage is far worse than what groves has done given the rankings and groves has been far more respectful.

If anything if I was froch trying to sell potential fight with groves it would be key factor of promotion by saying I don't want to do what calzage did to me and leave questions unanswered I want to give the big world class domestic rivals a shot before retiring that I never got and cement my legacy.

Could Groves not make 160? Hes 5 ft 11 and not anywhere near as big or ripped as Kessler, Froch etc. Hes not World Class and a fight with Froch wouldnt be competitive!
