Ero, if there was no weight divisions I'm quite confident I could beat up a flyweight, don't hold me to that though.

This is why the Heavyweight Division is the greatest and still the most exciting division on the planet.

If your over 200 pounds..? It's a free for all! No holds barred! Nobody cares about afew pounds or stones weight difference.

    This.
No catch weights, no whining about someone being too big, just bragging rights for being the best on the planet.

Funny thing was that some here wanted the Heavyweight division to be split up in Super Heavyweight and Heavyweight because there were a few very big (and very hard to beat) guys in there.
Although it's a very bad idea in the first place with too many weightclasses out there already and the HW division already lacking talent, I came up with another solution and that was a Super Cruiserweight division (200-225lbs).

Basicly the same thing, but with the slight difference keeping the HW division what it always was, the biggest and strongest facing eachother without any limits. But noooooooooo.... that's not what they wanted at all.
It had to do with putting away the big guys in a new division, and have the Heavyweight division (and it's huge legacy) free for their man without having to cope with one thing that made it so special.

Some people want a S-HW division because of the sheer size difference making it hard to get near these giants, therefore the old adage; "a good big un beats a good little un", so a S-HW division is necessary!

BUT they don't want another or more divisions, NO...

    I have 12 divisions from Fly to S-HW with 10 lbs between each division, S-HW 225lbs +

simple solution, more competitive, fighters fighting closer to their natural weight and less trouble making weight.

    17 divisions down to 12.

But if so wouldn't you agree to keep the highest division named Heavyweight because of it's legacy and the reason why it has it's legacy.

If you call the #2 division Heavyweight it becomes a poor substitute of what the division used to be about, and the ones that capture that title will most likely react like they managed a simular feat as the old time champions.
In the old times they had to beat the giants too... and a lot of those big names of those eras used to be bigger and stronger as their peers too

My mate is obsessed with the height of boxers against their billed height. Haye has been in photos with Froch and looks about the same size and Froch is no bigger than 6ft 1 at a push.

    @ Robney

NO the HW division, though there being a S-HW division, would still be the Traditional Top division, mainly because of the normal size bigmen they always were.

S-HW is NOT the average Bigman, they are Giants and a minority!

So like I said before, you are in favor of putting away the biggest and strongest guys so the others can call themselves the man without having to face them. :!:

Like the 90's without Lennox, Bruno and Bowe, the 70's without Foreman and Ali?, the 40's without Bear, Simon and maybe even without Louis himself being much bigger as most of his opponents.
    Kinda sad that would be

    So you're not taking a %
    But just put away the Lewis's, Bruno's, Bowe's, Bear's, Briggs's, Fury's, Price's, Klitschko's and Valuev's of this world :!:

do you just exclude what you don't like, or just being difficult - they ARE included, they are the S-HWs

    work it out yourself...

12 divisions beginning at Fly, ending at S-HW - 225+, approx. 10lbs between each division.

I'm just pointing out what you're really saying. Put away the big, strong and dangerous guys in a new division without any legacy fighting eachother so lesser guys can fight for the huge legacy that comes with the name HEAVYWEIGHT (wich always meant biggest, best and strongest) division.

Who wants a Super Heavyweight division..?

The heavyweight division is the best division in the world and most diverse, if you are over 200 pounds..? Game on.

It has always been that way, and it will stay that way. Its the most honest division in the world, fighters are not weight drained, they are fighting at weights that are comfortable for them! It is about..? who is the best Heavyweight in the world!

At other weight divisions, so many fighters are not comfortable, are ill and full of sickness, and always have excuses because of the ******ed life style they live!

LONG LIVE THE HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION, AND I AM GLAD THAT IT IS BACK!
