Maidana should be in the Welterweights, definitely higher than Kell Brook. The guys record is on another planet to Kell Brook and he has another fight next weekend against a guy better than anyone Brooks ever fought.

    Mares> Chris John also IMO.

Maidana's record at 147 is 2-1. He lost convincingly to Alexander. He beat a Journeyman and Soto Karass who was 2-4-1 in his last 7 fights. In that same timeframe Brook beat Hatton, Jones & Saldivia. Not great but he also has the wins over Jackiewicz & N'Dou. Hatton, Jones & Jackiewicz were all top 15 when he beat them.

Its been 3 years since Chris John beat a world ranked fighter.

Why aren't Dawson and Canelo champions in their respective divisions?

Dawson - Hasn't defended his title in over a year.
Alvarez - Was ranked No.4 when he faced Trout so it wasn't for the title.

Cleverly above Kovalev and Selby shouldn't be in the top 15 IMO.

Can you explain why 4 fighters should be ahead of him?

90% of people say Kovalev ahead of Clev.

Selby hasn't beaten anyone at European level, let alone world, I think he's capable, but without wins at that level on his record, he can't be top 15 IMO.

Kovalev's only win of note is Campillo, who hadn't fought in 11 months and was without a win in a meaningful fight for 3 1/2 years. Cleverly has beaten Murat and Bellew and while his opposition has been poor, the Bellew fight aside, he hasn't lost a round in any of his world title fights.

I take it you didn't watch Shumenov, Cloud & Murat fights? Campillo won them all. Don't just read boxrec watch the fights. These rankings are based on the actual result not the judges score.

Selby hasn't faced anyone above domestic level, but neither have the fighters ranked below him. His wins over Simpson, Smith & Lindsay who are above average domestic fighters.Name me 4 fighters with better wins?

How would your LMW rankings alter if Floyd beat Canelo Rob, considering its at a catch, are the WBC and WBA even on the line?

Theres a debate going on about that on another forum. Personally I think catchweights should not be eligible for World title fights.

Sakio Bika isn't the WBC champion @ 168lbs.

Saul Alvarez isn't the WBA champion @ 154lbs.
