I am guessing that there was corruption invlovled there. Obviously I have no proof and am pulling this theory out of my ass but I think it went down like this. They agreed (under the table) to a 3 fight trilogy which would have given them each a **** ton of money. The deal was floyd would win the first, rematch oscar wins and a tie breaker.

When it was floyd's turn to lose he said **** that and walked away.

I truly believe it was because the first fight was a SD and PBF was afraid that this time around they would give it to DLH. That fight was close regardless what anyone else says and who knows if the judges would be more inclined to give DLH the decision this time to make a 3rd fight which would bring more money to Vegas.

Can you imagine the money a trilogy would have made for those 2?

Because Oscar was trying to act as if he still should get the bigger share of the purse and PBF wasn't having it.:deal

Nope Because no one wanted to see a repeat of the same thing. Except in the rematch it would have been worse for Oscar.

Oscar would still have been the one selling most of the numbers. This would have been a bigger fight than the first one, which was Floyd's biggest purse ever, so I don't buy the money issue, and don't buy the control issue either as Floyd ended up doing business with GDP anyway.

In my opinion Isal's answer lies in the fight itself. There were only a few people who thought Oscar came out of the Forbes fight looking like he lost something. Most thought Oscar had sucessfuly turned back the hands of time and became a real welterweight again.

Mayweather's just announced to fight Canelo yet people on here talking about a second fight with De La Hoya. The criticism doesn't end when it comes to him.

he demanded a rematch and even went to puerto rico to ask for one. Trinidads camp was the one putting up all the barriers. First it was the money, they wanted more, then it was the weight issue, and blah blah blah

All I have to say is I'm watching DLH/Forbes right now, and if there's any style perfect to match against Mayweather Jr. it's THAT style. :deal

Too bad there's no one that fights like that now.
