Do I really have to explain why a fight against Vitali is more desirable than a fight against Wlad?

And like most i'm guessing Fury has a fight against Haye lined up. We'll see in the next few weeks.

  2. Haye v Fury would be massive in this country and do good numbers PPV

Where would that leave Hennesy and channel 5 though? His main attraction fighting on a rival network

As stated above, the Haye-Fury fight wouldn't be a final eliminator. The winner of the fight would more then likely fight the winner of the Banks/Mitchell rematch in a final eliminator.

Last night the Gethin-Diaz fight was billed as a final eliminator for the IBF lightweight title, despite the pair being ranked 10th and 6th respectively. It's not always the case that two highest ranked fighters automatically compete to fight the champion.

Channel 5 only have 1.30 hr programme next weekend.

Hughie Fury, De Gale , Galahad and Eubank Jr are all fighting.
Surely they could extend that the wankers, are they only going to show one fight live?
Its not like the pack of knobs have anything else to show is it.

Sorry, my mistake, misread his post.

Either way he certainly would not be closer to a title shot fighting Haye as opposed to Pulev. That much is for sure.

    An absolute myth.

Being beaten by a nobody (to the casual fan) is much less worse than being knocked out by someone they see as a direct rival.

He could dupe the public into believing a Pulev defeat was a mistake and give reasons and excuses for it, but if he loses to Haye he won't be afforded the chance to do that.

If the contract was for Fury to only fight on Channel Five then he only fights on Channel Five. We have no idea what Hennessey's deal with Channel Five is currently. The only other way this could happen would be for (gulps) Primetime to show the Fury/Haye fight as Desmond owns a stake in it (I think).

It is for Fury, who (because of the hype) will get there anyway if he beats another couple of smallish HW's.
And also mediocre reward in the financial sense. If he could get past Pulev, he would get a big payday for getting smoked by Wlad next year. Then he gets that payday immidiately getting sparked by Haye.

He wouldn't be closer, but he wouldn't be that far away. I'm a massive Haye fan, but I recognise that Haye + Banks/Mitchell + Vitali is still an easier route to a title then Pulev + Wlad.

I think there are a handful of fighters who might have an outside chance of besting an ageing Vitali, and Fury is one of them. But I can't see anyone beating Wlad.

Boxnation will probably get Mayweather Canelo.

Sky seem to not give a **** about boxing outside their own little bubble in the Matchroom stable.

    Haye is already retired, practically.

    ONE fight in TWO years.

Klit retired his title ambitions, he's been loathe to step his big bunged toe inside a ring ever since -- probably suffering from flashbacks.

No way No-Fight Haye fights The Big Funny (Fury). If he does, it's a retirement party payday and Haye have a swollen pinkie finger for an excuse.
