Could boxnation do more of these deals

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by ginger warrior, Jun 1, 2013.

  1. I think a lot of people are missing the point on the frampton change in promoters.he is changing from matchroom to mcguigan and as a result his fights will be shown on boxnation not sky

I read a lot of posts saying he will only fight once a year in London and that frank doesn't do a lot of shows but that's irrelevant to this
Boxnation have every weekend available for big time boxing and they will dedicate hours to it whereas sky have their 20 or how ever many it is

So mcguigan can choose his date, venue and opponent and frank will probaly provide the bulk of the undercard or a co headliner
There will be no poor c level opponents like has been mentioned and frampton Will be kept busy
The only possible negatives are financially this is a risk and obviously the lack of exposure on a boxing only channel but Carl does big ticket sales anyway

With frank struggling to put on his own shows, maybe the future is a mix of international content and other promoters working with him at domestic level

So many examples of this that could work, they already have David price and Kevin satchell they will no doubt add maloneys other prospects
Hatton has clearly played hardball over any tv deal well the time has come where he has to be back In the game
And Hobson with mcdonnel and Steve wood who always has good fighters would no doubt put in shows if given the chance

So is frank doing this just because it was a big name from matchroom or is he now open to the idea of televising other promoters shows more regularly because if he is that is genuine competition to sky

BN can only afford to do domestic shows than gain subscribers.

Huck v Afolabi not on BoxNation as well.

  3. Is that a definite on huck afolabi I would be surprised as they had no2 and sauerlands fights are normally picked up
If not I won't be massively disappointed as we still have channel 5s show with degale and the main course maidana Lopez supported by Lara angulo

    That's a good night anyway

  5. Ha ha fair comment

  6. And as for gaining subscribers price and frampton obviously fit that bill

But so could the likes of quigg, crolla,Martin Murray etc especially when packaged together in good cards

I could be wrong but I think that don king holds the rights for Huck v Afolabi as I think he won purse bids.

Box Nation could get the other fights the chance to fight on their channel like Martin Murray, Scott Quigg, and many others. This is their opportunity to make this channel more of a success and provide excellent boxing services.

Nobody seems to care about Huck Afolabi, its on a stacked night of boxing a week away and Rob uses it as a chance to attack Boxnation for not showing it.

Why not attack your heros Sky Sports Rob? It doesnt suit your boring agenda.

BoxNation is a dedicated boxing channel. Sky Sports isn't.

How you continue to fail to see the distinction is beyond me.
