It's weird because he looked plenty together in the Molina fight. Very quick combinations, somehow even quicker than before, more patient with the jab, more efficient movement, a bit of an inside game, still dropping the hands when throwing but more composed. With Diaz he was all over the place.

Like I said Maidana is 'hoping' Khan wins, same way Khan, Broner and Garcia all 'hoped' Peterson would beat Matthysse
There's a big difference between 'hope' and 'think'

Pre Garcia, I had Amir easily dominating Devon. Now I think any decent fighter with some pop can spark khan out.

Maidana would love Khan to win, he might get another crack at at title that way. maidana has more chance of beating Khan than Devon.

It's that simple Alexander at 147 is a much better fighter and Khan has looked like carp in his last two fights.

    spot on.

i think he's trying to be a lot more patient now and it just isn't working. he needs to get back to the fast hands and try to throw the right shots at the right time. he increases his chances of a win that way.

making stupid mistakes such as firing a right uppercut from outside and stepping in against a counter puncher with the left hook is just madness. if he learn to do that, then that's his best chance. he's going to hit rock bottom with the style he used against Diaz. :good

if Khan fights the same way he did last time out, he's toast. no two ways about it.

Why can't Devon throw with him, straight left during one of Khan's sloppy combos?

I agree with the observation, and if it goes twelve Khan may well win, but Alexander isn't gonna quit after a little adversity like Judah did. He also hits harder than people think when he sits down on his shots. Certainly hard enough to hurt/drop Khan

i agree that Alexander has some good pop when he sits down on his shots. we saw that against Purdy.

he could definitely stop Khan. but i disagree about Alexander quitting after a little adversity. he quit against Bradley when the going got tough. Khan doesn't have the swarming style that Bradley did that night, but if he hits Alexander with enough shots, i could see him pulling out again. he's done it before.

He looked bad in the Bradley fight and his decision to cry in agony until the fight was stopped was questionable. But he got hit by bombs against Matthyse in their fight and never quit. I really can't see Devon just giving up at this point, I think he learned from the Bradley fight and is tougher than he's given credit for, but you never know I suppose
