Walcott of the third Charles fight vs Holyfield of the second Qawi fight.

Who would win in a series?

    gotta go with holy here

both were great movers, walcott a bit better. i see him moving and looking for sneaky counter opportunities. he would find success early but as the rounds go by, Holyfield's intelligent pressure behind the jab would close the gap and the distance. he'd put walcott on his butt in the 7th. then it would become a war and while walcott lasts the distance he hits the canvas again in the 14th and loses a decision

I would go with Walcott, because he would be fighting a still developing Holyfield.

One thing is certain: it wouldn't be boring.

    A countering festival.

Walcott a stays a step ahead because of defense I suppose. Holyfield would be the pressure fighter here, and I think that plays against him.

I do think that Holyfield has been given a bit of a handicap here.

You have effectivley made Holyfield fight at a 190lb cruiserweight limit, while alowing Walcott to fight at a 200lb cruiserweight limit which would be ideal for both of them.

You could hit Holyfield all day with the jab. Walcott would figure this out pretty quickly. He wouldn't let Evander get set- and that was a big thing for him- would turn him. Holyfield was never, by any stretch, a defensive genius and he'd start getting pot shot-ed. If Walcott could trick Charles into that wicked left hook, he'd do it to Holyfield who was not ring smart like Charles.
If he could sucker Louis with those sneak right hands, he's do it to Holyfield who was never as ring savvy as Joe Louis, either.
Holyfield had a ton of heart. But if this fight actually happened, I think most would be suprised at how easily Walcott beat him. He'd stop him, 7,8 rounds.

holyfield had the chin, but at this time he was very green and walcott had great experience, holyfield was much more durable but at cruiser he was more skinny and walcott could hurt him, at 200 pounds i pick holyfield in this weight he was stronger than walcott and he could take a great shot , at 185 i pick walcott, evander had still a good chin but he was more fragile at this weight

    :deal This

If a plodding chugging catchers mitt like Qawi could draw him in then Walcott would make him look like a kid at times - I think Walcott would really put on a show here - and Holy would just show his frustration - Holy never really adjusted quick enough to cope with someone like Walcott's tricks - simply put Walcott would show Evander things he's never seen (and never did see) and that is never a good thing - closest thing Holy saw to Walcott was Toney - and he embarrassed the hell out of Holy. admittedly when Holy was past it and ripe for a lesson, but the Holy who fought Qawi was comparatively inexperienced compared to that version so you have to figure without the experience he gained later the difference is going to be glaringly obvious -Walcott could also hit like a truck - I say Walcott by clear decision or mid to late

Walcott relied on his opponent pressing the action so he could reel them in and counter, so for a while he'd be having a field day. However, Walcott fought in bursts and could loaf a fair bit which is why I believe Holyfield would outhustle him to a dec. possibly stop him later in the fight. Walcott never showed half the workrate that Holyfield did in the Qawi bout.

I think a prime version of Walcott is just too much trouble for Evander who as a warrior may fall into traps...UD10-12-15...school time for JJ
