Bowe's toughness is a bit underrated in my opinion. He took a hellacious beating in the 2nd Golota fight and kept going. I like Mike's ability to stay on someone when they're hurt but it would be a big achievement to stop him. I think it comes down to whether Bowe fights with his brain or his balls.

Bowe was like a better in every single way version of Douglas.

Bowe stands up to Tysons shots, and walsk him down and beats him up

Tyson by decision. Bowe's defense would be a major concern against Tyson's lightning quick and powerful combos. However I think that Bowe is durable and skilled enough to win 3-5 rounds and go the distance.

People forget that Bowe was 6"5 with a ton of heart! If he comes in shape he wins.

Yeah but prime Tyson stops any version of Buster Douglas, and to give Douglas credit he had a great right hand, something Bowe didn't have. He had decent size and a clubbing right almost but not a great straight right.

Both Bowe and Tyson seems to have these short, weird and controversial primes. Easy way for their fan boys to claim that they were "unbeatable" in that period of time.

Would have been a better version of Tyson vs Tucker because Bowe had a better in game then Tucker....Back then Tyson liked fighting and his head movement and combos were great....But Bowe for such a big guy was a very good outside and in fighter and to me the spoiler might have been having Eddie Futch in his corner because Futch knew Tyson's style well because of Frazier. To me it's a pickem fight but if I was forced to bet I'd go with Tyson based on what he did to guys like,Tucker,Tubbs,Thomas,Smith all tall guys he had back peddling.

There were at least 5 heavyweights that I would pick to beat Tyson in his prime.

it would be a classic fight. but between the two, gotta go with Tyson. Tyson was more battle tested, had more ko power and was better defensively. Bowe's size and strength would be problematic for Tyson but at their very best, Tyson's resume suggests he has a better chance to overcome bowe as opposed to Bowe overcoming Tyson.

What a fight that would be.

Tyson stops him in the mid rounds, Bowe got hit too much and loved to fight

Bowe had an excellent jab and was a tall, long, physically strong guy with good power, speed, stamina, and chin. He was also a good combination puncher with a varied offensive arsenal. On paper, he had every physical tool you'd want from a heavyweight, as well as versatile skills. He had everything except one thing: Fight IQ.

Bowe would go to war with Tyson in close and suffer dearly for it. In a war, you have to go with the guy with better defense, speed, power, combinations, and explosiveness. Guess what? That guy is Tyson.

Tyson by TKO in 7 in an awesome fight.

Hard to pick against either when at their best... I would say this would be an exciting fight, anything could happen. I think I gotta go with Tyson by KO if I had to put money on the line.. I wouldn't feel confident about that though.

ya know prime Bowe is one of the few heavyweights who could beat prime Mike.
It's a hard fight to call.
