one of my all time favorites. i watched that one live on TVKO back in the day. to think how they nearly decapitated each other in a great fight, where as now we have other fights stopped without even 1 knockdown or a cut like the Char fight

Cooper was trained by 'smokin joe' wrong from the off.

But in one night in Alanta he nearly did a Buster Douglas!

He was a very good puncher with a strange right-handed southpaw style but he would've been beaten by Hill had he stayed at the weight, which became impossible. Michael was massive at light-heavy & just outgrew the division.

Moorer had the potential to be an ATG cruiserweight imo, he could've ruled there for years but there was more money up at heavy.

michael moorer had great technique on his punches- smooth punches with no wasted motion. there was another thread about boxers and street fights, maybe in the lounge, but moorer would be hell to try and corral in a street fight. punches flowed easily from him. great balance.

Bro he would have koe'd both Hearns & Hill on the same night.
He was a southpaw with a jab that was better than Hills (and thats saying something) and who had smoother combos.

it was a good fight. A fight between blown up cruiserweights. These were the days of TVKO. Is that company still around?
