Even if he does pull out a win over Ree's, it's not a fight anyone wants to see.

Ricky is near the elite level. Why would he take a fight in Wigan leisure centre against Crolla?

billy could do with an opponent like crolla next up at least there is plenty of fight footage available so he shouldnt make such a pigs ear of tactics unlike the last fight burns was in

Not at all Broony there wasn't much footage on Gonzalez and we tried to change tactics during the contest, however things weren't working for Ricky initially in that fight.
Elbrujito you will need to pass on your vast knowledge of tactics and how you implement them to us all, mine usually work so we will draw a comparison with your you cheeky **** lol

    :D haha

you could have come up with a better excuse than you didnt think his arms were so long!!

strange you want to hear my tactics about a fighter when joe gallagher a man with 30 years boxing experience isnt allowed to have his say!!

dont know if my strategy would be any good if i was in charge the fight would have more than likely gone - lose every round and be within a couple of shots of the ref diving and stopping it and then praying to god the other lad is shagged out and hasnt the energy to get off his stool but as im sure you know i am no expert!!!!

Bullshitting is part of Boxing he's just throwing his fighters name out there as a possible opponent so that if he does beat Rees which is unlikely as you point out then he might get a shot at the title

Carl Froch beat down and stopped Jermaine Taylor.

Jose Gonzales quit in his corner, due to a injury.

Ricky Burns got lucky man, you know! and so does everybody else on this thread.

    Note:
Rematch Gonzales if it was not lucky.

Why would anyone rematch the mandatory when theres voluntary defences or unifications to be made.
I think if you read most threads Ricky is being praised for his guts and determination.
Do you honestly think there was an injury?:think:nono

That's the bottom line. Froch persevered and kept on his task until he had an opportunity. That's what champions and true world-class fighters do. When there was something to work with, he took advantage and pulled out the win.

Burns did the exact same. You could just as easily say Froch got lucky, but skill is only part of the equation in a fight.

He didn't even make a fuss after he retired on his stool. He knew he was beaten.

To be honest mate corolla isnt remotely on the radar just yet, Ricky will fight sept no sure who against yet but bigger than domestic level for sure,Ricky wants to fight the best out there and unify titles and im sure it will happen soon
