wake up and smell the coffee Joe

  1. He was quoted in boxing news that he wants a rematch and burns never hurt him at any time,he felt in total control but wasn't willing to risk further injury

He says it was caused by an elbow whilst blocking

He can say whatever he wants, but he wasn't willing to grit his teeth in a fight he was ahead in, just because he didn't have all the advantages all of a sudden.

Haha I know mate, the lack of footage was a big problem and you're a great tactician but it was still a good line whether it was true or not.

DFT, sometimes I have to remind myself that Ricky Burns actually won this fight, the way people drone on in here about the great Gonzalez & how he 'schooled' Burns!

When the going got tough, Gonzalez got going, on the first plane back to Puerto Rico. In a nutshell. End of story.

Ricky was beaten up by Carl Johannessen, outboxed by AA and looked awful against Yousseff bloody Al Hamidi and he still got a crack at a world title.I don't think your being fair on Crolla he's a decent little fighter who is taking on a good challenge in Rees and if he was too win what would be so wrong with him getting a shot,Ricky got his and look at him now.

Yeah he was ranked 1 by the wbo but I don't know who the **** he beat to get there.Must have been Michael Gomez or maybe Al Hamidi,Burns wasn't exactly blitzing his way to a title shot it just seemed to fall in his lap somehow.Thats why I think Billy is being quite harsh on Crolla.
