Me and my mates are going to be out in the states anyway around then so this has worked out perfectly. Never been to vegas before or to a big fight anywhere, what advice do people have on tickets? Are we better to buy them nearer the time to make sure there are no pull outs or any of that nonsense or just buy them when they first become available and cross our fingers.

Any other advice you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

I think you'll struggle to pay for them Matt. Maybe better to stay in the UK and watch it in around someones house?

It's boxing and **** happens. If you can't afford the present ticket prices advertised now,it won't be getting any cheaper later on.
Go to Vegas, check out the weigh in at no charge and buy a closed circuit ticket at one of the Casino's-it is a blast!:good

Matt? Vegas is a long way to go to watch the fight on the telly. Stay at home and get a richer friend to fork out for the PPV, watch the undercard and a selection of Froch fights on DVD then "get ready to rumble" at 5am!

I didn't think there were advertised ticket prices out yet? Don't know what you mean about money anyway unless they are obscene it shouldn't be a problem just wanted to know what it would be like getting them in Vegas nearer the time and the best way to go about getting tickets.

Matt, buy them from a reputable firm only if you are determined to travel. Be sure you work out a budget properly before beginning all this though. You can easily over spend on fast food and concerts while in LV and you need to be mindful of other financial commitments such as 'rent' and 'tuition fees'.

Don't get all rowdy on the plane either... it upsets fellow travellers and the flight is a long one.

Matt I bought my mayweather-guerrero tickets off vegastickets.com on the friday evenin after the weigh in for $100 less than face value each so it can be done. I'd given up all hope but I rang them and they had em available so hopped into a cab straight away and got em. Best of luck getting em big fight in the MGM is fantastic

For Mayweather v Guererro, Ortiz maybe you could have got a ticket last minute but for Mayweather v Canelo on Mexican independence weekend. 100% you will not be able to get a ticket for less than $500 the week of the fight. Plus if the chances of you getting 1 ticket are slim, whats the chances of your 3-4 mates getting one?

I would have loved to have gone to the fight or even been in Vegas that weekend but im getting married again in vegas the week after so will have to go to my local bar to watch the PPV. **** paying $65 even for this fight!

Your right about this fight demand will be huge. At the guerrero weigh in golden boy were still trying to flog the upper priced tickets!! Doubt that'll happen in sept but you never know? No way you'd pick up 3-4 tickets but if you got 1 or 2 even not sitting together you'd take that.

Heard the closed circuit in the MGM on the night is good. Even if you don't make the fight you'll meet loads of boxing celebrities around the MGM fri and sat. Got my pic with trout, leo santa cruz, freddie roach and malinaggi

I've never been myself, but if you're going anyway then you might as well buy the tickets when they go on sale, should save you money.

The chances of pull outs are low, I can't remember many big fights being put off in the past, so you should be ok there.

Whether you get tickets or not, I'd go to the weigh in and any of the other events around the fight, like Barlivia says, there will be loads of boxing celebrities about, probably bigger than the likes of Trout, Santa Cruz and Malignaggi, I'd expect the likes of Leonard, Tyson, Hagler and Hearns to be about. Fights like this bring out anyone and everyone in boxing, so you should bump into plenty.
