Cotto was talking about going to 154 even before the Clottey fight.

    That's not an answer.

Floyd said he wanted to fight again at 154, he said he wanted Cotto at his best weight, Ellerbe says the rehydration weight won't be an issue, so why was he trying to get the fight at a low weight?

    152 was a compromise.

Floyd originally wanted the fight at a lower weight.

    So why was that?

I don't understand where you're coming from mate, you'll have to explain.

Floyd has contradicted himself, and now we're hearing that Richard Schaefer saved the day with a compromise of 152.

Apparently Floyd wanted the fight at a lower weight.

    Why?

He fought a 165 Oscar in 2007, he wanted Cotto at his best weight, and he said he was happy to defend his 154 belt. Ellerbe has also said "It wouldn't matter if Canelo weighed 200 pounds" Yet despite all of the above, Floyd wanted to drag Canelo down lower than 152?

The "point" of the 152 is to try and curb the backend weight some, it's irrelevant how you feel about it, non ******s respect and appreciate the fight. Don't watch it if you don't like it, that's your call.

"Like I said before, I’ve never fought a guy at a catchweight. I don’t fight guys at catchweights."

The agreement of 152 was a compromise, because Floyd wouldn't fight at 154.

What are you talking about to try and curb the back end weight?

Are you referring to Canelo's rehydration weight?

Canelo's going to rehydrate between 15-20 pounds whether he weighs in at 154 or 152.

He might even rehydrate by more weighing in at 152.

Ellerbe has said that they're not bothered what he comes in at on fight night.

So if that's the case, then there was no need to try and get the fight lower than 152.

    Non ******s appreciate it?

They will appreciate the fight as I do, but nobody appreciates Floyd when he contradicts himself.

Didn't he also criticize Pacquiao for making fighters fight at catchweights?

***** land: At first Canelo was way to big for Floyd, but now can make 152lbs easily and it won't effect him.

***** land: Floyd is the smallest WW in history. Never mind that he has been an official WW for 8 years. The man could make 140lbs easily even though he failed to make weight against Marquez and rarely steps on the scale the night of the fight.

    ***** land: logic doesn't exist.

It's funny how before the fight was made, *****s on here were calling Canelo a light-heavyweight - now all of a sudden, he should have no problem shifting some weight to come in below the limit, it should be easy for him...this thread is hilarious

To be fair Cotto did fuel it by saying he struggled and moved up straight after.
