Because many fans are just clowns that have never really competed in a sport at a high level. It's clear now that after time has gone by that people rate RJJ higher on the ATG list than they did when he was still active. The same **** you hear about Floyd running, you heard then about RJJ. As time passes, logical minds put things into proper perspective.
Excellent thread one of the few times that we both agree on something. Giving someone a boxing lesson while taking no punishment in return is not running.:deal
I may disagree on many things with Mayweather, but I can't argue that he is not an excellent boxer. Never understood why people call him a runner. Khan and Cotto have ran for dear life to survive. Mayweather uses skill to avoid trouble. Big difference.
Canelo has fast hands and power - by speed I mean with his fists, not talking about the speed of his movement
I agree. Good thread btw, been wanting to discuss this for a while. There is a difference between "running" and having great defense and as you put it simply. They are schooling their opponents. Floyd hits you and when you are about to hit him, he simply avoids it over and over again and people labels that running. WTF, seriously? do you expect a fighter to get hit on purpose???? Why bother to master your craft then?
This statement is stupid !! Why say **** like this ?!?! The late Gatti was a blood and guts warrior, so was the late corrales as well as jesus chavez but each was picked apart and stopped by Floyd. Dose that make them any less then a warrior? "No", They where just beaten by a much more technical superior fighter.
