I think so to. They now want a big fight. And after Shumenov maybe Hopkins.
The thing is at some point they have to face him if he is mandatory.

Did not get paid from Universum in his last fight. For Cleverly Universum was also not able to pay him anything so he pulled out. No need to train and fight if you dont get paid.:bbb

I dont think Cleverly, his Dad etc. are actually afraid of tackling Braehmer, but going by what his promoter said after the last defence, they are going to duck him.OK,if its Shumenov,or Hopkins maybe this takes priority now,but if successful in a unification they should take the German next.I could actually see the WBO being given up if that happened.

Sauerland said he has agreed an extension with Frank.W so both can take an interim fight, we assume Clevs will be Shumenov/Kovalev and Braehmers will be a European title defense.

Kovalev vs. Shumenov bodes for more action.

Kovalev vs. Cleverly would be more enjoyable, however, in that I've long since wanted to see Nathan savagely humbled. :yep

No, they are not going to 'duck' him. They want a bigger and better fight.

Yes. But at some point they have to face him if he is still mandatory.

It's annoying me that people a calling this a duck. Frank wants Shumenov and didn't want another mandatory to get in the way. Nathan will eventually fight Brahmer if he's still mandatory. Cleverly v Brahmer is a good fight.

Could you point me in the direction of people stating that by taking a fight with Shumenov or Kovalev that Cleverly is ducking Braehmer? I can't say I've noticed any in this thread.

I could understand it for his plethora of garbage opponents, but not if he's to fight one of the aforementioned two.

  13. Seriously guys stop saying Kovalev, its getting annoying. Why the **** would they take on a dangerous unknown opponent when they don't have to ? hardly fits the FW business model does it, Kovalev is going the IBF route so he wont be fighting Clev any time soon. Rob change the thread title please.

If its going to be any kind of big unification fight it will be Shumenov.

Kovalev is not going to happen I agree with you. I think it will be Shumenov. Because it is also a better fight for Cleverly! Two time World Champion is MUCH better than just having one belt. Cant see Cleverly fighting Kovalev. Cleverly has to improve his defense and Warre.n would be stuipid as hell to make a Kovalev fight.

Um indeed. Universum and the anti-christ Kluch are in finally in serious legal bother. BIG debts and possible legal action over some of their less than pleasant 'business' dealings (Not least threats and physical violence, including a savage beating of Boytsov's manager).

Can't wait to see the worst promo company around finally buried.
