Hey Esb A couple of us from the UK will be going to Las Vegas with the aim at watching mayweather fight canelo on the 14th in september. As it stands tickets are yet to go on sale, however will it be wise to book flights and hotel now? Also to anyone who has been to the MGM Grand, what hotels do you recommend close to the arena? Is there usually any special package deals available, where you can book flight/hotel and ticket together? I know we will probably pick up nose bleed seats at 500 dollars a pop but what the hell it the experience that counts. We will be out there for 5-7 days. Any help will be appreciated:bbb
Tickets will be hard to come by if you're looking to pay $500 per ticket. You will have to buy the nosebleeds through a ticket broker (face value $300 but you pay $500 to the broker) due to the fact that the $300 face value seats will never go on sale publicly. If I were you I wouldn't book any flights or hotels until you buy your fight tickets. You may find the price much to high for fight tickets and decide not to go. You can stay anywhere on the strip is usually pretty good. Just depends on how nice of a hotel you want to stay at. Middle of the strip is the best place to stay I have found you can walk anywhere and it's not too far. Caesars, Bally, Treasure Island, Harrah's, Flamingo, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood, they are all decent places to stay and right in the thick of the Vegas strip action. MGM grand offers hotel room + ticket packages but you will pay through the nose for them. You should call the hotel and ask for packages/prices and they will let you know.
I don't think you can book the flight/ticket/hotel together, but you could probably find both the hotel and flight as a package on one of the bigger travel sites. Read the fine print for the hotels - most of the big Vegas mega hotel-casinos have a "resort fee" that is charged daily, from $20 to $35, it's in the descriptions when you book online, but you have to dig to find it. I like to stay at the Imperial Palace because they don't charge a resort fee.
Tickets start at $600 decent ones are $3k, good ones are $4k. You can still get deals on hotels though. I'm staying at the Venetian which is still less than $250/night. I saw other hotels at $85/night. Get your tickets soon. There aren't many left and the price is only going up. Book your hotel too. those prices will go up also.

sites like vegas.com and lasvegas.com usually have some good deals on flight/hotel packages but like some said, you may wanna get the tix 1st. I went to Floyd-Ghost and booked everything without having tix to the fight because they were too high at the time. I was confident that they would drop if I waited it out and they did. MGM is a small place so even the nose bleeds arent that bad. If you wanna book something now, you should book the car. Vegas has good shuttle buses and regular buses but Id still rather have my own car. You can find them for cheap but if you wait til near fight week then the price will jump up on you
I'm born and raised in Vegas. alot of hotels are really nice. the cheapest/nicest ones u can find or at Quad resort. its about a 10 min walk to the MGM which is fine. I booked a room there with 2 beds last week for $30!!! U cant beat that! if your looking fo rsomething really nice then the Venetican and Plazzo have great rooms from $100 to $300, great service. Theres also Platinum Hotel which is right off the strip. those are really one of the nicest rooms i ever got. You get a huge suite for like $150!! All these options are good options bro. u can message me and I can give you alot more info too.
you can book a flight/hotel/car package. theres not gonna be a package with the fight so dont look for that. Also nose blleds will be $300 and after fees about $340 each. I went to Mayweather-Marquez when i bought those tickets and there were good seats so whatever u buy is good.
