Prime Eubank vs Ward?

Eubank is overrated by those who aren't old enough to remember watching his efforts against the likes of Ray Close of a Saturday night. Eubank was lucky to hold onto his belt before he ever met Collins. Collins beat a very good version of Eubank in the first fight and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.


Eubank lost the plot that night and was completely out-psyched by Collins.

Ward completely schools Eubank, and wins a 9-3/10-2 decision

 

Eubank was, and is, a legend. But I think he probably is a little over-rated save for his chin and heart. Ward would have won the fight handily as Ward is boring but bloody good.

 

Wards clinching would give Eubank problems but eventually Eubank would ware Ward down over the course of the fight and he would stop Ward around rounds 9-12

 

Eubank was a good fighter, very good but I can't believe people are actually saying he could beat Ward, Ward has already proven himself better than Eubank and he might not even have reached his peak yet.

 

The better the fighter, the better Chris Eubank fought.

He was a economical person, and economical athlete.

Simple.

He fought some guys in 3rd gear.

 

No, his performances depended on the opponents style, and Ward is a stylistic nightmare for Eubank.

 

Ward is a better boxer than Eubank.
