The Chosen [quote not working] for your information, Ward was fighting nobodies with losing records over 8 rounds in 2007, Calzaghe was fighting the undefeated Mikkel Kessler to become the undisputed champion of the world at the weight in 2007.

Calzaghe would have made mince meat of Ward then or at anytime of their careers.

Yep, that's the point I was making (albeit sarcastically).

Don't agree that Joe would have destroyed him now, but that's irrelvant. In 2007 Ward was far too inexperienced to be in the ring with Joe, likewise JMM was far too inexperienced to be in the ring with Naz. JMM's coming out party was in 2003. Naz's reign as lineal champ had long ended by then. Anyone saying Naz avoided or would have got beat my JMM circa 1998-2001 really need to look at what Marquez was doing whilst Naz KOing fellow belt holders.

The people who claim he avoided Marquez are refusing to acknowledge one very important matter: he turned Hamed down! He was given a very good offer at the time, had more than enough time to prepare for such a fight, and yet he still turned it down.

Of course he's a big fat liar.

In the Gary Newbon interview he said "I don't make excuses" and then proceeded to come out with a list of excuses as long as his arm.

He got beat by a better fighter and he couldn't take it. That often happens with bullies, when they are challenged they fall apart.

People calling naz a twat and all that, he wasnt actually that. All he did was just create a brand and a personality that could get him noticed which did him good in his career.
