Are you mad? This was Floyd's biggest fight and biggest pay day EVER. He was finally fighting boxings cash cow and superstar and you really think he had an OFF NIGHT? LOL:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
That night was PRIME Floyd. Its just even a washed up Oscar is still a great fighter that Floyd was never going to have any easy time with.

You've never heard any excuses?? Well okay then, here are a few that i remember off the top of my head:

"It wan't the night of the jab tonight"

"Freddy Roach had the wrong gameplan"

"I was done by the time i fought Mayweather"

And these are all things he said on camera. I'm sure there have been a few more along the way that i´m forgetting.

The biggest night and payday won't prevent an off night. It is what it is.

Only Mosley beat a prime Oscar in their first fight. Hopkins/Sturm beat a fat out of shape, Oscar when he should have never attempted that weight class. Floyd and Pac also got a washed up version.

Amazing you said that considering he beat:
    :
    -Ruelas (undefeated lightweight champ)
    -Gonzales (undefeated)
-Hernandez (undefeated champ - also what Floyd considers his own best win)
-Whitaker (Oscar stole is P4P#1 Title with that win, even beating out Roy Jones Jr)
    -Quartey
-Trinidad (90% of the world believes oscar won that fight, create a poll if you don't already know),
-Mosley 2nd fight ( Again, 80% of fans believe Oscar won, create a poll if you don't believe me)
    -Vargas
    -Mayorga

I could add some more very legit wins against very legit opponents. I guess alot of you youngsters weren't following boxing in the 90s.

Manny stewart, who was riding floyd's **** that night, even admitted Floyd was going to lose if he didn't start picking it up. this being around the 6-7th round. Oscar was leading then, Floyd had to pray to god he slowed down to finally take the fight over. Floyd won by 2 points, maybe 3. But when both were fresh, Oscar was winning the fight and outboxing him. this being a 7 year past prime Oscar LOL

    :patsch

Try just giving credit to the fact Oscar was all over Floyd all night long and Floyd was having trouble dealing with Oscar's jab. This wasn't Guerro in there, or Zab etc. This was fuking an ATG who NOBODY has ever dominated until Pac, mind you Pac got the totally shot version of him.

Yeah, also Oscar abandoned his jab, and used up too much energy trying to knock out Floyd. Oscar let his emotions get the better of him. I think that was why Floyd came out with the sombrero and the Mexican colors. It really got under Oscar's skin. Oscar just ran out of gas in the 2nd half of the fight, and instead of using the jab tried to set Mayweather up for a big counter, which is generally very hard to do agains FMJ because he's so elusive. It will be interesting to see how Canelo fights this fight and if he will use the jab. Though I think part of the psychological affect of the catch weight is that Canelo will be so focused on losing weight, that he might not have as much time to really plan strategy, because I think he walks around at much higher then 154 lbs, which is why the catch weight is so absurd to begin with.

he dont need excuses, everyone knew oscar was past his best when he took on mayweather. as competitive as the fight was, it doesnt take a great mind to deduce that a prime oscar would have handled floyd without a whole lot of problems.
