    Gamboa is a great fighter.

I'd like to see this fight.

Will there be a rematch of Ricky's last fight, Billy?

It would be a good fight but there's several fights out there, not many fight there mandatory in an immediate rematch!ive no doubt if they fight again you'd see the proper Ricky Burns

    Guess we shall see.

Anyone less than a world champion in his next fight would be a huge step back. There is nobody to fight domestically.

Unfortunatley there is....the next patsy and then onto Rees then Mitchell/Murray will keep team Burns going until at least Summer 2014- would love to be proved wrong though

Hearn wouldnt go near Yuri, unless hes mandotory. Gonzalez is similar to Gamboa but Yuri is wayyyy better and doesnt give up when the going gets tough like how Gonzalez did. I change my mind now: Yuri stops Burns in 9.

Maybe Billy..shame we'll never get the chance to see it.
Same with Broner at super feather and again at LW...shame we never got to see it.

Put him in with Broner once and for all to end the myth that he's world class. He's simply been the best of an average bunch and jumped weight to avoid Broner. Got outboxed in his last fight and would do so v Broner. Gamboa would too but size is an issue here.

Agree in part with this...I think Ricky is a great kid and I would fancy him to beat Vasquez, Bogere and the Beltran's but he will fall short against the Gamboa's and be well beaten by Broner- I think he would deserve world class status by beating one or more of the formers.

Broner is long gone now that he's about to win a belt at WW so it was a good business strategy by team Burns to keep out of his way by moving up and then
Keeping there heads down when Broner was calling again at LW.

Burns record is questionable. A shot Katsidis is probably his best win.

I find the fact he fought Nicky Cook was ridiculous, an it world title defence too which further angers me. He can get up and train for this fight and make weight but not for Gamboa? Probably his biggest payday of all? Bollocks, Burns and his team bottled it.

He got outboxed by a 'banger' - Gonzalez in his last fight, a relative unknown. It wasn't a good move, it was a ***** move. How you can call yourself a world champion when you picks fights is downright blasphemous!

I am sick to death of fans being took for ****s hence why I hardly post on here or the pother forum. Burns and his camp have took people for too long now.

Fact of matter is Burns is a very nice bloke (on tv anyway), trains hard and is dedicated but all that counts for **** all when you take an educated look over his record.

The next fight two fights announced is crucial for me personally interms of my opinion of Burns and his career. If its a WBO bum followed by Rees then I will have to fully agree with you.

Educate me then you silly fat twat.

Burns can get up for Cook but not Broner?

    Truth hurts doesn't it?

I've been following the sport over a decade and been turned off the last year. Burns has a lot to do with that. I watched him win the title and then steal a living fighting the likes or Laryea and Evensen who've both done little since and should never have been allowed to be a defense.

Fact of matter is you ran, Burns is better than that.
