Excuses, excuses, excuses is all i ever hear from Dawson and his fans. The cold hard fact of the matter is he is not nearly as good as his fans have hyped him up to be. Pascal confirmed what a lot of people suspected, Ward reaffirmed that Dawson was indeed not elite level, Stevenson hit it home emphatically. Dawson is obviously a classy boxer but has proven to be wanting whenever he has faced dare i say it boxers in there prime. Out of the ring he is a classless individual, i expect this defeat will be everyone elses fault but his own.

then it should have been nothing. andre ward is the man everyone wants to fight and calls out. cant call some one like him out and then start to have demands . he said he could beat him at 168 or 175.

i see it the other way around. Dawson ruined Wardke's career, Wardke ducked Bute to fight this glass jaw clown who got koed by a punk, makes Wardke look very very bad. Think about all those clowns around here who ranked Wardke #1-#2 p4p for beating this glass jaw fraud.

Is Dawson the next Jermaine Taylor? Once Taylor got KOd by Pavlik he was never the same. Taylor had the skills but he became a completely different fighter. Dawson seems to be heading down the same road.

I hope he can come back...but he's made a lot of mistakes recently and has paid dearly for it.

You seem to have been easily fooled.
Dawson was fighting men far older than him. He seemed to get a pass for fighting older past best fighters.
Remember when I show this list that Dawson was also younger and in his 20s for alot of these fights

    Look at Dawsons recent fights.

    Hopkins 47
    Hopkins 46
Diaconu 32 (good win and not an old fighter)
    Pascal (he lost)
    Johnson 40
    Tarver 40
    Tarver 39
    Johnson 39

Fights Ward a young fighter (he lost)
Fights Stevenson who at 35 still is young in his career (he lost)

Im not knocking Dawson, because he has tried and fighting Ward at SMW took alot from him to have to lose weight, but really his best win is over a 47 year old

Why do these nonsense excuses come after a fighter loses?

    1) Took his confidence?, sorry but if Dawson lacked confidence he wouldn't have gone to Stevenson's backyard to perform. Don't forget, he has been there twice before.

    2) No one "made" him do anything. He accepted the fight as it was offered to him because he had no other options at 174. Ward sure as hell doesn't need to move up to a dead division to prove anything.

Dawson is a talented fighter but he's also extremely frustrating. The man has ability but lacks the fire. Any fighter that would fight for 30 seconds of a round and pause for the rest isn't someone worthwhile nor someone that will make it far enough in this sport. Hell he could have an opponent stunned or hurt yet take the round off rather than fire away. Sure, his style is made for the likes of ancient Hopkins but someone else with fire and activity he would get pummeled as proven already. Dawson is a fighter that waits and conserves as much energy as possible. It's good to be tactical but over-tactical is just plain boring and frustrating.

indeed Dawson called out Ward and said that he can go down @168 and fight him.

that was a very very big mistake and a foolish move made by Dawson. Ward just accepted the challenge and whooped Dawson's ass.

Instead of fighting Ward at 168 , Dawson should've stayed at 175 and try to unify with Shumenov, Cleverly or Cloud.

HBO sacrificed him to build Ward up. The "call out" after the Hopkins fight was planned.

HBO wouldn't accept anyone but Ward at 168. Because of a garbage promoter like Shaw, he has no fanbase and no leverage. It was either Ward at 168 or no licensing fees.

The brain is surrounded by a fluid known as Cerebrospinal fluid. In an effort to make weight, fighters dry themselves out, depleting a lot of the Cerebrospinal fluid. Dawson taking a beating to his brain without the protection of that fluid has ruined him as a fighter. I pray he retires now before he gets even more damaged. **** HBO and **** Andre Ward for ruining a man's career.

I really think Bhop ruined him even with the win. Just like Bhops fights with Taylor delayed his potential.
