He looked better than ever. Always a fun fighter to watch and always dangerous.

 

Kell brook should fight him next . Make it happen eddie

 

I like Maidana and its nice to see him adding a bit of technique to his game, but his bread-and-butter is and always will be to get inside and brawl.

And while the fights with Lopez and Soto Karass were exciting, I wouldn't exactly call them impressive performances. They were both good opponents, but not exactly what you would call top guys in the division, and Maidana had his troubles in both fights. It will be interesting to see what he does when he takes on one of the big fish in the division, especially if its a boxer (as opposed to a brawler). Its one thing trying out your new jab against Lopez and Karass, quite another thing against an accomplished technician.

To be fair though it is a pretty stacked division and has an above-average top-10 compared to most other division, so maybe I should be cutting Maidana some slack.

Maidana ****s Kell brook up on the ropes, if Kell doesn't get him out of there early.

Maidana is like Carson Jones x 100, would be by far the hardest fight of Brook's career. make or Break.

 

He needs it though doesn't he. He is rotting away shame and a waste of talent.

 

I agree, would be a great fight. Later on this year in USA.

 

Maidana seems abit chinny. He was caught flush by Lopez and was pretty much gone but did well to see out the round. If this fight would have lasted longer it could have been fight of the year. Personally id like to see a rematch.

 

maidana isn't chinny, that is when you get KO'ed numerous times, he gets hurts but he comes back even stronger. Balls of Iron Steel.

 

i think he's vulnerable, he's be hurt repeatedly, the problem is all his opponents were lacking the natural killer instinct to finish him off. Alexander isn't a guy who normally looks for a KO, morales had him hurt but was too old to press the matter, ortiz quit on himself, and khan as much as i like him, he hasn't be able to produce a similar punch since. I think Karass hurt him aswell. Matthyse would stop him so would brook.

 

Of course he is Vulnerable, he doesn't really care about defense but that is what makes him exciting. Its a good job he is as tough as nails.

He would have a chance to KO Brook, brook is talented but he doesn't like the fight being taken to him like in the Jones fight.

Maidana loves the fight and would bring it to Brook and would try and make him fight a brawl and Brook would crumble on the ropes. make it happen Eddie Hearn.

He is exciting but for me he is notbon the same level as country man Lucas Matthyse.
