I can't see anyone in the past, now or ever putting on a boxing clinic on Mayweather. There are guys who can beat him but to beat him in a clinic like Rigo did to Donaire, no way.
I don't understand how people say Rigo. I love fighters with great technical ability, but there's nothing he does in the ring better than Floyd Mayweather, especially a prime Mayweather. I don't think there's anybody in the history of boxing (history) that would put a "clinic" on FLoyd as far as boxing goes. Maybe certain fighters could possibly knock him out by landing a flush shot (i.e. Robinson or Hearns at 147,) but no one is going to box his ears off. He's too cerebral of a fighter to allow that to happen if his opponent is in the same weight class as him. Saying "put on a boxing clinic" means someone dominating him on a fight based on technical ability. I cant think of any fighter in history that could do that, maybe a prime Pernell if his foot movement is working for him that night.
Nobody. Floyd would beat the shizz out of Rigo. Rigondeaux was lucky to get by Marroquin, let alone a fighter 10 levels above him like Mayweather. Boxing IQ on this board has dropped 25 points at least in the last 60 days. Dunno what's going on.
no one at this time would put a clinic on mayweather but i do think a few fighters could knock him out at 154, canelo and possibly golovkin. matthyse at 147. old school fighters that could have beat him, duran, morales, castillo, chavez, tzyu, pryor, delahoya, trinidad. pernel whitaker, srl, bernard hopkins school mayweather although they would have been snooze fests. salvador sanchez would have schooled mayweather and it would have been exciting!
No one is schooling Floyd. Hearns KO's him. (KO6) SRR stops him after catching him cleanly. (TKO9) Leonard beats him closely but clearly. (115-112 with 1 KD) Duran makes him extremely uncomfortable and wins rounds, but comes up short. (116-112) Sweet Pea frustrates him but gets walked down. (117-111) Chavez Sr plays right into his hands and loses convincingly (117-111) Prime Oscar fights him competitively, but falls short again (116-112) Pac 2009 gets embarrassed and made to look amateurish at times. (118-110) No one schools him, but he does lose to a few.
floyd is a GOAT contender few boxers in history have a chance of even beating him, let alone putting him on the canvas
PAC 2009 = Floyd do you want to fight PAC: Floyd = My health come first . You cannot out box Floyd but you can scared him :deal.
Only Floyd can beat Floyd. He would have to lose interest or lose focus to have someone even approach putting on a clinic against him -- but a big puncher like Saul coming in at 175 pounds could always stand a chance to land the right punch and get him out of there.
