Been overly impressed with Callum Smith in his last four fights and he really looks like one of the top prospects out there in boxing at the moment.

However he isn't really learning much from those 4 first round knockouts, at this stage of his career he needs to be stepping up the competition level so that he can adjust and learn new things about the pro game. Someone like Wayne Reed would be a good step in the right direction and certainly teach Callum a few things. Thoughts?

  2. Definitely but he is one of a number of prospects who are too good for the lower level but timing is all importantThere are some good domestic level contenders who will take him rounds, kal yafai and Callum smith, frank buglioni and Mitchell smith should all make big progress in 2014

I think they thought they were stepping him up last time, Boxers get rushed a bit too quickly sometimes.

Wayne Reed was someone who Eddie mentioned after one of Smith's fights, it would be a test for him but I'd still expect a stoppage.

It'll not be long before he surpasses Fielding.

Dilks would be a decent fight then Reed for Central Area belt or something like that.

Yeh dilks and reed would be a good couple of fights. Rocky will vacate soon and move on to the british I reckon so Callum could then fight for the vacant english title.

I wouldn't be surprised If he gets Robin Reid at some point in the near future. :-(
