A close desicion? It was an ass whipping!!! But thats not the point. A self respected champion will fight the winner of two fighters. Not the loser. I hope Juan Diaz comes in top shape and beat the crap out of him. So he learn a lesson a don't duck a winner fighter.
How will you feel if you work so hard to win a fight only to be pushed to the side by a champion who doesn't want to face you???

You mean a champion who already beat me and is simply making more money by giving the fans a fight that they want to see?

A champion who beat him!....... Then why is he going to fight a guy who just lost against a guy he beat??????????????? But let me tell you something. Juan Diaz people are even worst. Juan needs a fight were he can regain his confidence. He should make a easier fight before going against Casamayor. The guy is young. They should take better care of him

Remember, their fight was in 2003. Thing may have changed in five years. But Juan Diaz just got owned by Campbell. So the fight with Cambel is the most logic one. Afraid of the revenge perhaps?? Or he just like to fight Juan now that his weakness were exposed??? He might be in for a surprise! I realy hope so.

Well I agree with you here. Casa wanted no part of Diaz when he was tearing through the division and now he is willing to take the fight. It does seem that he was scared until he saw something he beleives he can take advantage of.

Still as a fan I am just glad the fight is happening. I was dying to see it 2 months ago and I am still dying to see it now.

In my opinion, both casa and campbell are aching for a big money fight that will somewhat ensure both of them a hefty retirement plan. And probably both camps and the Don believe that matching them up will not bring big bucks to the table, considering they already fought in '03. At this point of their respective careers, it's not just the belts, it's also about having a huge retirement money.

Casa is willing to fight anyone ..Anyone !!

That is not the case with Mayweather !! He needs $$$ signs before the line where he as to sign in order to get in the ring with someone ..With Casa thats not the case ..Please don't ever compare these 2 again !

Don't forget Casa has been after Diaz for a while the problem is Diaz was in the driver seat now he has no choice but I agree I think is a better fight for a counter puncher due to the agressive style of Diaz plus is more money for Casa retaining most because he is the champion.

If this is true, I am VERY surprised. There's more prestige fighting CAMPBELL right now. Maybe b4 Diaz lost this would of been great. Still intriguing match, but the man to beat is THE GALAXXY WARRIOR.

How is it bull****? I was right there on the frontlines during the whole "Diaz is the REAL man at LW, screw Casa" trend deflating the Baby Bull hype and defending El Cepillo.

What could be better as a Joel fan than to bury this bone once and for all?

Great style clash if it happens, too.

    I can't wait.

Same here! Diaz should win this one!

If he lossos again to another senior citizen in boxing like casa. Juan is only a HYPE JOB after all. He is not as good as what some fans are saying about him.

lets face it, casa is still good but no longer his prime and if diaz losses despite this..

thewoo, I agree with a lot of what you have said in this thread, but I don't remember Casa not wanting any part of Diaz previously. Casa was looking to fight anyone and was calling out everyone from the Diaz gang to Ricky Hatton to whoever he could make a decent payday from. He was left out in the cold after getting stripped of his title; he couldn't afford to be picky.

As is stands now, I would love to see Casa take on Juan Diaz or Nate Campbell. I think he'll go whichever way gives him the most money. And I'll be happy to watch whichever match up happens.
