Yea, pivots, fight off the back foot. I see strong fundamentals in Canelo's footwork game.

outside of landing one punch ko or seriously damaging punch heres how.you must switch between pressure and countering.alway change,he'll pick you quick if you don't

don't start your combo with a jab looking for a 1-2.it'll not work unless you start with a jab to the body like shane did in round 2. lead with a power shot but after fainting.

it help if you're taller and rangier plus know how to cut off the ring.must have above average handspeed, footwork and power.

    How to beat Floyd Mayweather:

    1. You must be supremely conditioned and have unusual amount of stamina.

    2. You must have a combination of heavy hands and athletic quickness.

    3. You must have an excellent jab and pump it often mixing to both head/body.

    4. You must work the body from the opening bell until he's on the floor holding his stomach.

    5. You must be physically strong enough to withstand his counter-punches, and strong enough to push your forearms into his neck in the clinches before he does it to you.

    6. You better be extremely mentally tough, never letting him get into your head or conning you into a cheapshot.

    7. Lastly you better make sure he NEVER dictates the fight by using a combination of swarming attack, solid defense, and great lateral footwork.

I'd like to know what ya'll think.

Watch the Castillo fight. You don't have to even be as fast as him to land. When Oscar fought him I was just shaking my head, he was trying to knock his ****ing head off....Floyd gets caught with headshots rarely. You need to bash his body in and break him down to beat him. He does not like body shots (who does) but that is your main target with Floyd unless you want to look like a twat missing all night swinging for his chin.

You have to be naturally bigger than him with more power. Within the first 2-3 rounds at most, you have to charge him, push him up against the ropes every opportunity you get, and just let your hands fly. If you have KO power in either hand you just have to send hooks to him on the ropes or looping shots and just pray you connect on him.

If you're around his weight and think you can beat him by outboxing him, than it's pretty much a no brainer that they stand no chance against FLoyd.

The only problem is, FLoyd is a lot stronger than he looks, even as a very small WW. So guys with the notion that they were going to be aggressive on the inside or be able to push him on the ropes whenever they feel like it find out quickly when they're in the ring with him that he's a lot stronger than he looks.

Requires a consistent skilled aggressive style. Someone that would trouble him being in his face all night throwing to any opening available, body or shoulders. Dirty tactics are also required to force Mayweather out of his rhythm. Pushing, holding and hitting. That's the only style, in my view, that can trouble Mayweather to a SD win or loss. People tend to forget that Hatton was doing very well against Mayweather despite his size.

Team Canelo has already taken the first step to beating Mayweather, that is, fight him at an uncomfortable weight. They'll have to figure out the rest.

I Dont believe the myth that its going to take another speed fighter to beat Floyd . Castillo/Cotto are not fast fighters and yet they had a lot of success against Floyd . A high workrate/Feints/decent pop is what needed to make that "0" go .

Outsmart fighter with highest ring iq among active fighters(along with BHOP and WARD) any active fighter trying to outsmart him will lose wide UD, and to outbox him is just as hard...thats why its so hard to beat him, but in pure boxing/thinking fight you are not going to beat him, his main assets are ring IQ defense and his boxing so i dont see how the best way to beat him is by fighting against his best assets!

Take advantage of his shoulder roll.

Sugar Ray fought Floyd's dad and absolutely demolished his lh ribcage with raking right hands to the body as he tried to shoulder roll, the right hand comes up and left shoulder in exposing the ribs, but basically making the head invulnerable as the best you can do is land something that will be blocked/ deflected/ parried.

Trick is to commit to the body at which point he will probably try and scrap with you.. I think Floyd is a tough nut to crack because he is a good scrapper in his own right when he wants to, getting him away from his boxing is all about landing hard to his body so he feels the urgency to fight aggressively and offensively which he may well be very good at. But, it's better than getting pot shotted and countered all night once he finds his range.
