I think Burley would beat him, he's gunna be there for Burley's massive right and he could annoy him with that awkward movement and jab.

Williams would possibly beat him aswell in a hard-fought 1.

I actually think williams would do better than burley. cause burley had the power and that could get him suckered into trading with zale.........and that would play more into zales alley.

williams couldnt punch.....and he knew it. he´d just do a number on zale and not get suckered in.

I agree. Zale has a punchers chance against Burley, but Williams would be poison for him. Williams would almost cerainly UD him, his performance against the peak LaMotta where Jake was peak and Holman was well past his is a pretty decent clue.

Burley could beat him in any one of three ways, but most likely would be a slow start, a couple of aggressive, trading rounds, followed by pot-shoting down the straight. Another UD would be my guess.

Both beat him probably both via decision I think Zale knew it too, which is why he never gave either of them a title shot.

Ya know Zale of the Abrams fight was a monster
I just read Georgie Abrams day after saying, "Zales the best I ever fought"
That includes Burley and Cocoa Kid.

you might not realise it but before them even, and possibly before Zale even won the title it coulda/shoulda been Bert Gilroy over there circa late 1940, all of 41 & 42 representing Great Britain, this is also when Charlie Rose championed him too.

Zale looses to both. Don't forget Archie Moore was rated right there too ahead of LaMotta and Zale would never go near him either. The whole record books would be rewritten if there was no color line during the first half of the 20th Century.
