I've been IFing for 3 years after 20+ years of eating every 3 hours or so and it's the best thing I've ever done for being very lean into my forties. Also worked with my wife and the few open-minded people I train with. I'm with ya on the bolded bit; I wouldn't dream of trying to talk about it with 99% of the guys I box or roll with even though I'm stronger and much better conditioned than any similar sized dudes I train with-they simply can't believe that fasting won't leave them weak and atrophied to ****.

I have trained with 32 kg kettlebells today, been out on the mountain bike and done some calisthenics and I won't be eating til this evening so that'll be 24 hours with no calories. Never felt better and never been so effortlessly lean i.e. no suffering whatsoever with hunger, thoughts about food etc:good

That is so funny you replied, because most don't even know of this. I was just awaiting for the masses to discredit that post because it is so far from how we have been "taught" by the fitness industry. However, I think that the reason for not getting responses is because very few people have given it much thought because it is so "radical" in thought given today's fitness beliefs of eat every 3 hours, you have to take in this much protein, and so forth.

I am a big believer also in trying something before figuring out it's worth and I, like you, feel better than I have ever since doing this. Thanks for your reply elcasoshaun.

***.bradpilon.com. You should just buy his book Eat Stop Eat. I enjoyed it. I think John Berardi does some stuff as well.

    I call bull****.

What state uses kilograms? In the US, people talk in LBS. Not kilos. No one knows what the **** you mean with that bull****.

So this makes the whole post bull****.

Some of the best info I picked up about nutrition came from a guy that looks as if he has never picked up a weight, yet if you put some of that info forward to a bodybuilder they will say "He doesn't even lift so it's not correct"
