I'm talking about two of his biggest tests in terms of boxing, not how much money he made... Stepping stone..... your having a laugh.....it was a massive jump up in class and he got wasted....by as you put it a 40 year old
Why are people saying if Fury lands on Haye he will go Wlad landed clean on Haye and he never went unless people are actually suggesting Fury hits harder.
when you first hear Haye v Fury all that goes through my mind is Haye right hand and good night. But when i think about this fight in more detail i see a tough fight for both. With a close decision either way. I could see both winning. I tend to sway towards haye but Fury is deffo in with a real shot at winning this no doubt.
I see your point, it was a big step up in class no doubt. I stand by it being a stepping stone though, it was supposed to get Haye some rounds and give him a name opponent. I think giving up 100lb and a foot in height was a bigger test against Valuev, or fighting Mormeck.
Can't really compare Maddalone "lunging in" to David Haye... Haye will be far and beyond the fastest and most explosive guy Fury has ever stepped in a ring with - Haye has been in with giants before. I like Fury and hope he can become a world champion - as a character he is great for boxing. He's shown he can box but also scrap when need be - plus he's entertaining. BUT, if he fights Haye next I just think he's getting stopped. He still squares up and is prone to the right hand & Haye will land it against him. That said, he is only 24 years old and a defeat to Haye will be far from the "end" of his career like I've heard some tits saying.
Its funny really I started this thread with a good argument backing Fury and reasons why this is not a easy fight for Haye.. The responses from Fury haters are ridiculuas, this suggests even they know that Haye is in for a tough fight.. Im not saying Haye isn't going to win this fight, all I am suggesting is that Hayes record at heavyweight isn't that great and I really believe that Fury is a better fighter than what people give him credit for!
What so how do you know Wlad landed his KO punch on Haye.. Wlad landed a right hand Haye took it, if you rewatch the fight you will notice that Haye probably landed 2 power shots in the whole fight and Wlad couldn't even get in range because Haye was on his bike for 12 long boring rounds..
All three of those fights were bigger than the Thompson fight in terms of attendance and titles. You are talking ****.
Agree with this. Fury is young and still learning but he's coming along ok. He'll be up for this fight and once the bell rings he needs to fight disciplined behind the jab , not get caught square and keep haye busy for 3 minutes a round. If he does this he has a chance. If he slugs it out he gets stopped in 6.
So you think Fury can land a better and harder shot than the punch Wlad landed ? and your laughing at someone else Why do I need to rewatch anything my point was simply Wlad didn't drop Haye landing cleanly therefore I find it unlikely Fury will quite a simple point to grasp really.
Mate what im trying to say is that wasn't obviously Wlads Ko punch if Wlad hits heavyweights full on they go down, that was a good punch but obviously not a finisher or Haye would be out cold! When Wlad lands full on theres not been many that have shrugged it off.
Fury wont get past the 5th. Hes shown over and over that hes vulnerable and open to right hands over the top, Hayes best punch. Look for a right over a jab and Tyson is going down. Ala Pajkic, Cunningham etc. Except this time hes going to be hit by a proper puncher.
