You are deceiving with what you say,you are not being realistic in your assessment of him
For a start Audley is his most high profile win not his best,try the destructions of Sam ***ton,John McDermott and matt Skelton for that previously durable British level fighters
And it wasn't the level of opposition it was his power that caught the imagination


I still think he can be a world champion,he has a good jab reach power and amateur pedigree,also he is in fantastic physical condition
Obviously his punch resistance is a concern but its heavyweight boxing and he was matched with tony Thompson who gave wladimir klitschko 2 decent fights


And to say Tom Dallas is his second best win is just you trying to make him look bad
Price is a good guy and I'm hoping him and fury win belts eventually

The reality was that most people expected him to stop Audley early and he did


Nothing more nothing less

 

I agree he made very easy work of the domestic level, so there was a lot of hype about him. whether or not he is good enough to be a HW champ only time will tell, but he certainly has a chance. I hope the sessions with Lewis do him good

 

The Sam ***ton performance was his best fight. We don't quite know how good he is as there is simply no point even considering fights against Fraudley or Matt Skelton. Fraudley has always been a joke but Matt Skelton would have given him a good fight 7 years ago but not at 45 years of age.

The Thompson punch may have floored any fighter but there are still questions remaining on whether Price can take a punch.

Fury has been down and his legs have not turned to jelly like Amir Khan etc. and he had the heart to comeback and win.

We will only know how good Price is when he takes good punches. Based on the Thompson KO, he looked like a drunk man who found a pair of stilts.

Price has the tools to succeed but may have to adopt a Wladimir Klitschko style to succeed at the top if he cannot take a punch.

Good luck to Price and I do hope he reaches the top.

 

Rogan twice maybe Samuels best wins?

 

Price has great power and a lot of the physical attributes needed but he just doesn't have the chin or punch resistance to compete at the top level. Got easily stopped in the amateurs against cammarelle and then completely folded under a glancing blow from Thompson who I think will beat him again unless he can land a big bomb early.

He's vulnerable in the chin department, that's not having a pop at him as he seems a top bloke and a good determined pro, showing bravery to get back in with Thompson too after his KO loss, based on evidence though it's a fact.

 

The fact he dealt with McDermott in a way Fury couldn't was what really got me on the bandwagon but yes yet to prove it at a level above British.

 

Without having a pop at Price - it's his manager who's responsible I believe - all his opponents had been on a bit of a merry go round really.

***ton KO'd twice by Chisora, would have been KO'd by Rogan if he'd had more of a killer instinct..... Dallas stood on his head by Zack Page, then hammered by Skelton, who lost to McDermott, who'd only beaten Larry Oluwabimo in recent times.

 

I don't think his matchmaking was bad that's too easy to say,but he needed an opponent between Skelton and Thompson someone with an iron chin

 

Take the Klitschkos out the equation, and the HWs is an interesting, if not outstanding division.

Wlad under Steward, with his physical advantages combined with skills, developed into somebody who was pretty much unbeatable by anyone that wasn't extra special. The only thing that will beat him before he retires is a fluke, or age.

Vitali, whilst not as technically good, is a giant of a man, in good physical shape, with a strong chin. He would also be a formidable opponent in any era, again the only thing that beats him before he retires is a fluke, or age.

When you have men the sheer size of the Klitschko brothers, with good skill, they are going to be very, very hard to beat.

Price also has physical advantages, but lets see where he goes from here. How he bounes back is key to his future success. If he has a weak chin he needs to learn patience.
