Good call. He's #34 on Boxrec, I also think the Dane one above him, Patrick Nielsen is also the real deal.
I think he could beat all but the cream of the crop at Junior Welterweight for sure. Wouldn't really say he's that much of a secret being he's already had a big fight with The Machine
I scored it for Bradley by a point, but regardless, had I made this thread before Bradley v Provodnikov he would've been a good call, he's no secret anymore though :good
This is true. I also favor him over Baysangurov. He doesn't have an exciting style but I'm sure if after beating Baysangurov (if he does), and fights the winner of Molina- Smith, Lara or Austin Trout he should start getting some attention from the American networks with his amateur background.
:good Your the second one to mention Ramirez. Going on the Thompson point, people was acting like his win over Linares was a fluke. I don't buy in to that, I think he the ****. He only has 2 narrow losses against good fighter (one of which he avenged) I believe he's in talks to fight Takashi Miura next- the WBC champion. The winner of that is arguably number 3 in the division behind Uchiyama and Mendez. :happy
Bradley beat Abregu- a win that has become far better in hindsight after Abregu has arguably cracked the top 10 with 5 consecutive victories over solid opposition. I guess we will find out how good Chaves and Mchunu are in their next fights (Thurman and Chambers). Mchunu record looks a little padded to me earning boxrec 'points' in a tournament after he was KO'd. In the tournament he beat the same guy in the quarters as in the semi. In the final he beat the guy he beat before he suffered the KO loss.
Guy has actually beaten other solid fighters too, not just they typical 12-25 cabbies we are used to seeing record padders fight. Looks like one that needs to be seen more of.:think:think:think
Not much of a secret really, but Denis Grachev is definitely a sleeper in the LHW division. He's beaten two top 10s in Erdei and Sillakh and gave a shellshocked Bute fits in his comeback fight, all within the past 18 mos and having come from absolutely nowhere. He's fighting top 10 ranked SMW Edwin Rodriguez next month in the Monte Carlo Million Dollar Challenge. If he wins that fight, I could easily see him challenging for a title in his 15th fight.:deal
