It's more about the fact that they are top dog at HBO that would interest Ward i would imagine. Chavez jr fight. Ward-Golovkin is simmering nicely, that has PPV written all over it in 12 months time.

    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Marco Antonio Rubio
Kelly Pavlik (was going to fight Ward but retired)

just off the top of my head those are the only fighters they have who you could even consider putting in with Andre Ward

Probably a good move for Ward. Top Rank is a bigger promoter than Ward's current one and could possibly make him a bigger draw.

Top Rank doesn't have many fighters between 160-175 but neither does GBP so making most fights would involve working with other promoters no matter who promotes Ward.

I'd guess Ward possibly going with Top Rank over GBP has a lot to do with the whole HBO-Showtime situation.

All valid points, only thing is will he leave Al Haymon? I cant see him going to TR and still being managed by Al Haymon.

Good point, and I have a hard time seeing him leave Haymon. A lot going on behind the scenes here with promoters, managers, networks, etc. It should be interesting to see how all this plays out.

Maybe I'm a little behind but I thought Ward was handled by Prince, not Haymon?

.... And has Arum ever shown any interest in allowing his cash-cow to get castrated by Ward? I can't remember any.

Ward is with Prince, who is chummy with Arum. I can def. see Ward going there with the HBO vs. GBP thing.

GGG vs ward is not gonna happen ever so you can forget about that. Maybe we will get ward- JCC jr which will absolutely suck.

    I want ward-stevenson ASAP.

If he goes to TR, Arum has to understand that he cant have Ward fight all in house fights. He's gonna have to work with other promoters.

He wont have to work with GBP, so maybe it could work.

makes no sense he already has the backing of a TV network (HBO) which is one advantage of going with a big promoter he should just self promote and use Haymon as his manager. Would save him money that way Arum is going to take 28% off the top......

yeah I doubt GGG would ever want to fight a decent fighter that's bigger than him
