Holmes was pushed to the wire by Norton and Shavers, Snipes, Witherspoon,Williams and Spinks all gave him considerable trouble and Foreman was better than any of those guys. Styles can often play a major part and be a deciding factor, yes Foreman struggled with Young but that was in 77' and he wasn't the same fighter who'd flattened Frazier, Norton and Lyle. I think Foreman knocks Holmes out or hurts him sufficiently for the referee to intervene. Larry just doesn't have the finesse or natural talent of Ali and would often stand a little too upright and rigid. I wouldn't rule out a Holmes victory but i think Foreman 70/74 would have knocked him out, inside 4 rounds.
