That'll change AM. Give it a lil time. I envision the poll ending somewhere like 2:1 Kovalev.

 

Kovalev isn't a crude banger, all the punches he throws are with power. I think he will have the skills, footwork etc to get at Cleverly. Watch a number of the fights, not many of NC's fights end in big KO's, SK's opponents want none of it, some of his knockdowns for have been from sensational punches. The fighters he's stopping recently are decent opponents, in my opinion at least level with or a step up from Hawk's and the other people I cannot remember. The Polish guy a few fights ago staggered NC with a decent punch, if he can land that shot, so will Kovalev, if Kovalev lands one of those it's curtains Batman. It will be a really good performance if Cleverly wins this, whatever the method.

I wonder what Tony Bellew thinks of all this, whilst he's waiting for his chance at the WBC? :huh

 

Not quite getting the politics of this match, but I'm starting to see good chances of it getting made. I can't see Clev. taking it tbh. To me it looks a bit like Kovs being groomed for the top slot now - a big exciting banger with better skills than Clev and a far far harder hitter.

Still, if you're a Clev fan it could always be another Joe/Lacy.

Cleverly has always wanted the big fights, but things got in the way. this time though, it's all game, set and match. most are going for Kovalev so i hope people continue to give the credit afterwards. you know what you're are all like on here. destroyer before, complete bum after. give credit where it is due.
