The quitting thing still gets to me, Badbot, would Diego Corrales or Arturo Gatti ever quit? I think that's a negative.
i felt bad about what happend there.. he balooned up to 220 celebrating his victory and leonard knew he had to fight him asap. cant blame leonard for taking advantage of the situation

Yeah plenty of them. I actually went on the pads in Johnny Tocco's gym in Las Vegas in 97 with Julian Jackson, and I thought he was going to dislocate my shoulders. I have worked the pads with Heavies who didn't hit as hard as him.
Andre Ward. All business during sparring, one of the meanest guys I have seen work in there. If they aint in shape they are getting busted up and sent home.
WOW! Whatta great memory, F. Every fan -- dislocated shoulder, not withstanding -- would gladly trade places with you. Why'd Julian ask you ta do pads? Did you train fighters at the JT gym?
Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been travelling. No I didn't work in JT's gym. I was over there on holiday, and rather than gamble all day I used to go to Tocco's every morning and I got talking to the guys, and told them I was involved in the game in the UK. After about 5 days JJ came in, he had fought the previous month, and was just keeping in shape. Thats how I ended up holding the pads for him.
