Paulie would definitely outwork him, but I think Zab is faster and has more legitimate power than Broner. Plus I think he is a little better defensively. I think Zab cuts him up pretty good 9-3.
Zab would probably beat Broner too. Paulie's has been in a lot of tough fights and is seemingly more past it, strange as it sounds. His speed is faded and his movement is no where near the level it once was. I think a 2005 Malignaggi would've out-foxed Broner. The problem is Malignaggi is a flawed fighter that relies heavily on his speed, movement, conditioning, and reflexes. Inherently, he's wide open for the right hand and he's speed and reflexes just aren't there. Tough SOB, though, I have to say. Real warrior. Broner really does have trouble with movement though. He's a stationary, static puncher. Likes to get set. Cuts the ring and puts pressure on well but doesn't jab in or punch his way in. He gets way too cozy letting the guy tee of as well, and he's a good counter-puncher but hardly in the Floyd league as far as that goes. That' is why there was Khan-Broner threads awhile ago with people (Myself one of them) arguing Khan would win. This was before the Diaz fight, though. I don't really see Broner as the future or this star. I thought Paulie won 3-4 rounds tops, though, but I expected him to get out-classed more. I knew movement would trouble him but a past it Malignaggi veering back in straight lines was having some success. Hell Judah, even Devon Alexander who I think not too highly of would probably beat Broner. Forget about Lucas and Mayweather who he'd get destroyed or schooled by. Garcia probably beats him too. It would be interesting to see him fight someone like Peterson. He really needs to step up his level of opposition. Paulie was a faded, #10 ranked WW. Yes, a title-holder, but not top 5 in the division.
I would pick Zab to win with an 8-4 or 7-5 type decision. edit: I would really like to see this fight if neither of them plan to retire (which I don't see them doing at all).
