Am I the only one here who agrees with 117-111?

Right, just saying that the rounds were relatively close considering Paulie's level of activity. Broner did land the better hard punches.

I gave PM the first round..possibly the second and the third. So my score was 118-110 or 117 or 111. I think broner dominated the fight and abused PM pretty bad. But I found the commentary to be shamelessly pro-paulie because it was a malignaggi fight on showtime, a network paulie works for and bernstein and the other guy are gonna look for the slightest cues to make their buddy and co-worker look good.

    You're not the only one.

People are giving shoe shining way too much credit.

a prime Hatton would of broke Broner's right side of the body.

I had Broner winning by two rounds, it was one of the those fights where a lot of the rounds were not definitive. Paulie definitely, definitely won the event. He took a monstrous bite out of Broner's aura.

If you thought "the problem" was advanced physics, its starting to look more like simple addition

No you are correct 117-111 was a correct score the judge who was way outlaws the one who gave the fight to Malignaggi making it a split decision. That said Broner was not as impressive as he should have. He is far more talented than Broner but clowned around and could not get into groove. Broner is not the fighter he or his backers think he is. He allowed Malignaggi to gain a moral victory by going the distance. Yes Broner won clearly and so he should but it's a worrying performance. Lucas Matthyse would have overrun him tonight.

I didn't score it round by round but said Paulie won 3 rounds at best afterwards. I was rooting for Paulie too. The person in the room with me felt it was more competitive though.

:D For some reason I laughed really hard at this. Paulie wasn't throwing punches, he was just shining the man's shoes. haha

I rewatched and I have the same score. 117-111

    Malignaggi won 1-2-4 clearly
    Broner won 3-6-7-8-9-11-12 cleary

5-10 are closer but Broner did more damage.

No. Scoring that fight 117-111 either way is showing that you are a very bad boxing judge, or that you are biased.

Lets all just admit that Broner has some serious talent but he needs to become more professional and mature to put on the performances he is capable of. Broner clearly beat Pauly, I don't know what fight you were watching but Pauly was trying his best to save face and with his experience and decent ring smarts was able to make Broner miss abit and get drawn into foolish antics such as the attempted knee to the head. Notice pauly had his arms round the back of Broners legs at that point in an attempt to trip him. Broner showed what he has in his arsenal and it is very impressive. How many orthodox fighters do you see apart from Mayweather throw a lead right with the speed, procision and power that Broner throws it at? He was consistantly tagiing pauly with that shot. The uppercuts, hooks and punches from wierd angles. Admit it you all know the kid is talented and will go to the top if he becomes more professional.

I agree with the score. The same people saying a robbery are the people that would say Canello robbed Trout. It really depends on how you judge boxing. I had Broner throwing a lot less, but he was showing the class and his punches look like they had more of an affect. I give Malignaggi the 1st 3/4 rounds and then the rest for Broner. The way I see it Broner was moving up 2 weight classes and Malignaggi is designed to make people look bad. He's a good boxer but tough and no matter what you throw, he keeps coming back. I think Broner should of lost 2 rounds though for his elbows etc. I think though Broner gets hit to much, I called it against Gavin Rees and he seems to have stamina issues imo. 117-111 to Broner but should of been 115-111 because of the illegal blows etc.

I definitely thought Malinaggi won rounds 1,2,4,9,10,12 + there were a few close ones and Broner should have had a point taken.

    Malignaggi made it close.
