If Hatton retired at 43-0, is his resume better than Calzaghe?

Oh Im sorry smart ass,so Roy had probably moved up to light heavy at that stage even still the fight was offered to Joe on numerous occasions at super middle and light heavy and he shyed away from it.Sugar coat it all you want but Joe didn't fight the best when they were the best he fought them when they were past it and then retired.I would have loved to have seen him in the super six,I don't think he would have gotten past Ward or even Froch for that matter.

Well if you followed Joes career with the interest that I did you would have heard about it,Joe even mentioned it in a post fight interview but it was quickly brushed under the carpet and never spoken about again.My guess is Joes team didnt want the fight.

Why would they in fairness a prime Roy Jones would have smoked Calzaghe.

Why do people call Calzaghe a ten year reigning champ? He was a belt holder - and a lowly regarded one at that. Calzaghe was ranked below Sven Ottke for christ's sake for most of his WBO reign of terror.

Hopkins aside, Calzaghe's two best wins of course were over Charles Brewer and Byron Mitchell - neither were anything special, quite limited brawlers. But he also holds an official win over EUBANK (though Eubank only had 11 days notice), and wins over HOPKINS, JONES (though clearly faded), and Kessler and Lacy (both one-dimensional). Calzaghe only really has one stand-out win, Bernard.

Hatton has a stand-out win over Tszyu, in which he actually made a legend quit, and who was coming off a laser-like demolition job on Sharmba Mitchell... and, Phillips, Collazo, Urango and Castillo all very dangerous world champions - slightly more dangerous than Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, Kessler and Jones, though not quite as dangerous as Eubank. Hatton also thoroughly outboxed gatekeepers like Tackie, Oliveira and Malignaggi, blew away former champion Freddie Pendleton (who took Mayweather the full-distance) and knocked clean out reigning champion Maussa.

At British level, Reid and Woodhall were vastly superior to Jon Thaxton, though I would say tricky southpaw Eamonn Magee had more talent than Reid and Woodhall put together!

So what we have is Tszyu, Phillips, Castillo, Magee - all highly dangerous talents who were thoroughly ground down.

For me it betters the close, back-and-forth wars with a rushed-in Eubank, Brewer, Mitchell and Kessler or the razor-close, scrappy, slappy hugfest between two old men that was Calzaghe-Hopkins.
