The notion that Adrien Broner is easy to hit is a lie

    Of all the blatant hating that goes on at this forum, by far the worst of it are people who mistake Broner using his upper body for defense instead of his legs to mean he has bad defense. Broner has ELITE defense. Lets take a look at the connect percentages for every opponent going back to Ponce De Leon:

    Malignaggi 25%
    Rees 34%
    Demarco 26%
    Escobedo 25%
    Perez 16%
    Rodriguez 19%
    Litzau 16%
    Ponce De Leon 21%

    so, with the exception of a very game Gavin Rees, not one of these fighters has connected with more than 1/4th of his punches on Broner. THAT is the guy who's apparently "easy to hit"? This forum is so full of haters it's unbelievable.

    I have never seen so many people try to argue that merely throwing punches or landing on a guys arms and shoulders is something that should be scored as I have while debating about this fight.

    To be hit at rates of 25%, 26%, 34%, and 25% in one's last four fights is hardly elite defense.

    The 34 wasn't a good defensive night, the other 3 are very solid. Broner displayed elite defense in those 3 fights, completely neutralizing Demarco, Escobedo and Paulie. None of them landed one really significant punch on Broner. It's not just how few of them hit him, its how sloppy even most of the connects are. Can you recall seeing Adrien Broner ever get hit flush with a big shot?

    He's easy to outwork and obviously a busy guy like Paulie will always implement that in his gameplan but as far as getting hit clean not really.

    He blocks,parries nad slips a lot of the shots.

    Well look at you paying good attention to compubox and finding out stats :). I watch and decide my own fights, and don't let some idiots with a computer tell me what's going on.


    BTW you would love box rec to research fighters ;)

    What nonsense statements are you making?

    Broner's defence is "elite"?? Broner "completely neutralised Demarco". None "landed a significant punch on Broner". These statements are completely disastrous in accuracy, and is beyond reproach.

    It's clear that he has a better defense that most fighters, he isn't easy to hit cleanly at least to the head, Malinaggi landed to the body without to much difficulty due to Broner's lack of movement, he stays in range too much for my liking, but nobody so far has been able to pierce that guard with any regularity.

    he has pretty good defense, but if he was facing a puncher like Matthysse, he wouldn't be able to stand if front of him and take heavy shots on the arms and elbows for 12 rounds
