Just seen a thread on the scene says hbo want Burns to fight Terrance Crawford in Jan in New York .It says Hearn says if the package is right they'll go to America but they're quite happy to fight in Scotland .

Burns is tailor made for Crawford. He's better off fighting Abril/Vazquez. Crawford, has the potential to clean up that division. Lightweight is becoming a stacked division, and with Lomachenko and Campbell looking to fight at that weight, some great fights in the future for Burns.

New york is a bit cold in January, a fight in April in New York or Vegas would be better. Could someone please pass on my suggestion to Eddie.
    Thanks

Crawford is the next big hype job, decent power, decent technique and looked good beating breidis Prescott so naturally the yanks have him as the next superstar of boxing

Don't see it myself, defence looks a bit suspect and could see him found out when he steps up. Don't get me wrong, he is a good prospect and I see a lot of potential but I'm not getting carried away without seeing him at a higher level

Mate Crawford is twice the boxer Gonzalez is and he gave Ricky fits, its all about distance and timing with these guys they make other fighters come to them and then make them pay with sharp accurate punches.I know a lot of people say Ricky had an off night against Gonzalez but I dont believe that,I think he was just in there with somebody who knew a little bit more than he did.

Lets be honest and Im not trolling on Ricky hes a great fighter but name one world class boxer he has fought besides Gonzalez skill wise?

Name one world class boxer Crawford has fought?? Not sure how you can use that criteria for Burns who has at least fought a world champion, but not for Crawford. How many boxers don't look good at the start of their career, seriously. It wasn't so long ago that Kevin Mitchell was the next big thing because of the way he took Prescott apart, look what happened when he fought at world level.

Whenever Ricky steps up a level no-one gives him a hope in hell, then immediately that boxer becomes shot, unprofessional, not world class. It will be the same with Crawford - if Crawford was to win I wouldn't be completely surprised as he has decent skills but if Burns wins, he will get no credit whatsoever and Crawford will be a hype-job, a bum, the usual.
