Cotto wasn't going to outweigh PBF by 20 pounds plus on fight night. Like I said before Canelo suggested a catchweight way back when he fought Cintron. What's funny is that theres no one at 140 or 147 around PBF's size that can give him a fight you despertae fukcs put all your hope into a man that will ouweigh PBF by 20 pounds and only brings size as the man that can possibly beat him, that just shows you how good PBF is. Too bad that it won't stop Gasnelo from getting a boxing lesson on fight night. An once again you'll go to bed mad that another fighter you billed up came up short.

I'm not billing up Canelo or expecting him to win. his chances to win are less since he has to drain himself to make a Mayweather-imposed 152 lb limit. Mayweather Sr has said if Canelo comes in at 153 or 154, there will still be a fight, but in that case Canelo will be robbed of his purse which is absolutely ridiculous. this is a 154-lb unification fight. a title fight with 2 belts on the line. there is absolutely no standard to have a weight limit below what the belts are. this is all FMJ, it's FMJ's way to try to drain Canelo after saying he wouldn't do it to Cotto.

It makes no difference how much a fighter rehydrates too. that's based on a fighter's body. the only thing you gotta do as a fighter is make the weight class limit. instead we have this BS implemented by Floyd to try to make life harder on Canelo. Canelo had no choice but to agree with it since he wanted to make the fight. But don't go around saying the catch weight was Canelo's idea. that's ***** stuff and patently untrue.

and by the way, it makes no difference if Canelo suggested a catch weight for Cintron. even if that's true, that's insignificant to this fight, because it was Floyd who was the one who made a big deal about how catch weights are meaningless in the leadup to Cotto. I'm not putting all my eggs into Canelo's basket. I really have no dog in this race, but after this BS that Floyd tried to pull I think I'm going to root for Canelo more. Because FMJ is supposedly the best, but if he's really the best then why couldn't he just fight Canelo straight up at the 154 limit like he did for Cotto. He's the one who made a big deal out of fighting at the limit for Cotto.

you sound more worried about the catchweight than canelito.

many of the canelito nuthuggers say that the height-challenged alvarez would knock out prime vargas and Donald curry comparing him to Tyson, holyfield and toney so lil' Floyd should be no problem.

by the way, I didn't see anyone complaining when canelito dragged up 140-pound lopez(who was knocked out exactly one round later by career 140-pound maidana last month) in his very next fight,
147-pound b-level hatton and a shot mosley who just went life and death with career 140-pound cano in his very next fight after canelito.

and wtf's it to you if canelito is robbed of his purse if he doesn't make weight?

I didn't see any nuthuggers here crying about a robbery when trout was down 0-4 after four rounds when most everybody had scored the fight a draw or trout winning.

this sh-i-t-s got karma written all over it and I wouldn't be surprised to see canelitos corner throw in the towel after his is getting embarrassed on 9/14.

    now, quit youre f-uck-ing crying.

nobody here wants to deal with it.

Why should Canelo get robbed of his purse for making the 154 limit when defending his title? because Floyd puts in the contract he has to make 152 or he get robbed? Call FMJ out on this.

It does have karma written all over it. lets place the karma where it belongs. it's bad karma for Floyd that he wouldn't fight Canelo straight up at 154 like he fought Cotto at. it shows that he's getting older and has to lower the weight limit and drain his opponent, something he said he wouldn't do before fighting Cotto. Something he criticized Pacquiao for doing.

Even if Floyd wins, via Floyd's own logic, Canelo will still be undefeated.

Maybe he's not scared, but he's certainly acting like it by demanding a catch weight like this. Any way you slice it, FMJ is cutting corners and trying to take the easy way out when fighting Canelo. That's not what someone who claims to be the best is supposed to do.

There is no way Canelo is gonna be drained coming in two lbs under 154. That's ludicrous and everybody knows it. The main thing is the fight. The belt is insignificant cause what people wanna see is Canelo and Floyd throwing down. Next thing people will be saying is Floyd should have given him a gun and a knife. Come on now with the whining. If Floyd wins the fight, you can say Canelo is undefeated if that will make you feel good but I'll say this and I'm a Floyd supporter, if Floyd loses, then his ass just loss and is a defeated fighter in my eyes.

karma is fighting josesito after he just moved up from 140 to 147 and then, after a grueling war with Ortiz, making him go up to 154 less than three months after said war.

karma is cherry-picking 147-pound mosley after he was clearly a shell of his former self at 147...let alone 154. the same mosley that wasn't even ranked in any division and most definitely not sww.

karma is having the judges paid off so that trout is so far behind after only four rounds that he has to change his fighting style to being aggressive of which something he is not accustomed to.

and finally karma is a guy(canelito) that beats up another guy(solis) that he outweighs by 50 percent(110 to 154). to put this into better persepective this would've been like prime mike Tyson beating the s-h-I-t out of canelito.

canelito and gbp took the fight.

    now deal with it.

I don't think ggg would have an issue making 158 to beat up canelito.

    chavez jr, too.

Floyd has an "un-disputed" history of B.S. tactics to throw his opponents out of their comfort zone, be it moving them up (or down) in weight or relentless media exposure or whatever. These days he will NOT fight unless there is a decided advantage in HIS favor.

Some may call it 'smart', others may call it B.S. But, you can't deny the fact that he and his team are unscrupulous oppurtunists.

Whatever, he's making bank just like any Wallstreet businessman who sets the tone in his favor. Your either rich or honest.

But yet Chepo said that Mayweather wanted to fight at 147, then 150, then 152. Canelo is the 154 pound champion. He's obviously not coming down to 147. Mayweather had no problem going up to 154 to fight Cotto. he's the best...who fights people at their best...remember?

But now he goes into negotiations with Canelo saying first 147, then 150, then 152. Why didn't he just man up and fight him at 154? No BS, if he did that, people would love and respect Floyd, and we wouldnt be having this conversation. It was Floyd who said that he still considers Cotto an undefeated fighter because he was dehydrated and weight drained for his fight with Pacquiao. He criticized Pacquiao for this. If you're a Floyd supporter, then hold the man accountable for his own words. I want to support him, but he makes it hard when he does stuff like this, and then tries to play it off. But I'm not a nuthugger, so I'm gunna call him out where need be. If Floyd loses, he loses, if he wins, he's the P4P Catchweight King of All-Time.

He didn't make him go up to 154 lmao. Canelo is the 154-lb champion. Why is this so hard to understand? He is the 154 lb champ, not the 147 lb champ, not the 152 lb champ either. Broner just went up from 135 to 147, and just won a title, and didn't seem like he had a hard time doing it at all. Josesito Lopez agreed to move up in weight to fight Canelo just like Broner agreed to fight Malignaggi. it happens, it's not bad karma for the champ fighting a guy coming up, and it's certainly no where near as bad karma wise as saying "catchweights are meaningless" then turning around and demanding a catchweight lmfao.

Cherry-picking Mosley? The same Mosley that just won a decision over Cano? The same Mosley that managed to get a draw against a Sergio Mora who came in at 157 lbs? Obviously Mosley is passed it, but he's still a decent opponent. That's like saying Larry Holmes cherry-picked Muhammad Ali in 1981. How was he to know that Ali would come into the ring in such bad shape? I'm sure he was expecting Ali from Spinks II, know what I mean?

Really? Paid off? I'll agree that the open scoring was awful, but how do you know Canelo had anything to do with that or the judges? Canelo Trout was a lot like Broner - Malignaggi, in that one guy throw a lot more punches, but the other guy landed the better punches. And in addition Canelo knocked Trout down. I don't think there was any doubt that Canelo clearly won that fight, but I'll agree that open scoring is awful in general. Still that's got nothing to do with karma going against Canelo. Did he demand open scoring, do you really think he paid off the judges? if Canelo paid off the judges, then you must believe Paulie when he says that Broner had an Al Haymon judge in his pocket, right.

it's been fun responding to your post, but I still fail to see how any of this is bad karma for Canelo. None of this is anywhere near saying "catch weights are meaningless", making a big deal about how Pacquiao drained Cotto, said he still considers Cotto an undefeated fighter, only to turn around and threaten to rob Canelo if he doesn't get down to his self imposed catch weight of 152.

Canelo took the fight, just like Josesito and Mosley took the Canelo fight. Deal with it. And by the way, I'm not speaking for Canelo. Canelo or his team haven't made a big deal about the weight, because they want to make the fight happen for the fans, and cater to Mayweather's demands. Canelo isn't complaining or anything, but we as fans can have the discussions that the fighters and their teams can't have. Canelo is just grateful to have a fight with FMJ, but as fans we can't ignore what FMJ did.

I always get a chuckle when people on Internet forums talk about "professional fighters" as being "scared."

Having re-watched Canelo v Trout last night, I honestly believe this will be one of Floyd's easiest fights. I don't think he will stop him but as per his recent results, I anticipate a wide UD win.
