What a career this guy has had. I guess he can retire undefeated and can go on and tell his grandchildren how no one ever gave him an opportunity based on his one time sparring session with Floyd.

You can blame floyd for the fight not happening. Spaddy held a belt at lightweight an sold more tickets than floyd at the time yet mayweather wanted all the money.

y would he want to beat up another nobody and get no credit for it? makes sense to hold out for a bigger opportunity with more money.

LOL, yeah, Spads has a lot of pull in the sport and beat so many top guys that he deserves a huge payday, lol.

Get real. This guy is in no position to demand anything, and is lucky HBO was willing to give him a shot on a card.

What are these "pull outs" that he had? He tried unifying the lightweight division when he was a belt holder. If you wanna say he lost to Dorin fine but he didnt pull out of a mayweather fight. He was locked up and up until recently he was inactive. Paul has a following along the lines of Joe mesi, he sells tickets and makes money already as it is in smaller bouts. He was told he was getting a name and money. Is what it is

Yeah, he should prob hold out for a bigger name if he is already selling tickets as is.

However I never thought I'd ever see him on a major boxing network again.

It's very late in the game for him. He might not get another opportunity. In fact, if not for Roy Jones connections at HBO, I'm sure he wouldn't get another opportunity with them. May not anyway.

This could have been his stepping stone for that big fight he wants so badly :-(

Word is, he turned it down because he was offered only $10K.

Shitbags can't be picky. Well, guess they can!

I think he deserves a chance I mean he was a world champion and never officially lost a fight. As a boxer he is good he just sucks at life out side the ring
