yes he can. but canelo is a natural 154 lber and 154 is floyd's limit
this is new territory, and if canelo rehydrates well his size could be an interesting foil for floyd's skills

Canelo already been training to slowly take the weight off. The only reason duds get drained is because they try to lose the weight in a short period of time. Or their diets are not on point. He probably won't make the weight, on purpose, so there won't be excuses

Agreed......also, at this point Gayweather is'nt afraid of anyone. Does he cherrypick? Yep!!!
He's a HoodRat that calculates his odds....like most Bettors and Investors.

As much as I don't care for him I do give him credit where credit is due!!!

but if he does that, he will lose a large percentage of his purse due to Mayweather's catchweight demand. Canelo shouldn't be in a situation where he has to make such a difficult decision. it's a unification fight at 154, 154 lb titles are on the line. both fighters hold 154 belts, there's no reason for a catch weight. FMJ said that there shouldn't be excuses, that catch weights are meaningless, but then turned around and did exactly that to Canelo. If FMJ didn't require a catchweight as a condition, then there wouldn't be ANY excuse, which is what the fans want. Now there's excuses because he wanted a catchweight. I agree with the FMJ of early 2012, about how there should be no excuses.

Any successful businessman is a hypocrite by nature, that's just how it is. If you think honesty works then you're wrong. Do you expect any marketing campaign to be overly honest about a product they're literally paying to hype and advertise to people?, the answer is no and will forever be no. Deceit is the key word here. Regarding working men and women, if they work in the entertainment field facing an audience of literally millions live on national television they will have to be play a gimmick character. Whether that character is negative or positive is another discussion, in the end fans love to hate and love to cheer and Mayweather gives them an option.

You're not getting the point it seems. He's not justifying anything based off what DLH did to him. What DLH did was very normal, it may have looked biased on paper but still very normal. If you want the biggest payday of your career you have to earn it by accepting the big name's demands. That's how it is and will forever be. Mayweather got to this position just like DLH did, therefore he sets the rules and fighters line up to fight him for that payday. What he chants publicly will only be taken seriously by clueless people. No offense, but that's just how I view it. He gathers your attention through what he does on television so you would be the first in line to watch him fight. After that, you don't/won't hear much of him till his next fight is announced. If you can't see that this is all his strategy to hype already then you won't ever see it.

As I previously stated, he got to this position by being in Alvarez' position at some point in his career and prevailed. He makes the rules now and others that want this payday have to agree, which Alvarez gladly did. If you find it unfair, biased or hypocritical then don't support and don't watch the fight. A catchweight of 152 doesn't make it below Jr. Middleweight limit otherwise the commission will penalize fighters for failing to make the official limit which is from 148-154. Two teams can negotiate catchweights based on their own contractual agreement and sets of rules which both have to agree on. Mayweather being a hypocrite about it is another topic completely, don't expect him to praise Pacquiao who has been his arch nemesis to the public and media for 3 years straight. He would take as many cheap jibes as possible just like Arum does to him.

Doesn't matter if he loses some his purse. He pulled out of mayweather undercard and still got the fight. He deserved this. At the end of the day Mayweather aint gonna get his credit, and he knows this, so it's on to the next

Yes it does matter if he loses some of his purse. It is highly uncommon for there to be a purse penalty below the standard weight class in a unification fight where both guys hold titles. Canelo actually strongly considered being on Mayweather's last undercard, but FMJ would not agree to fight Canelo if both of them won. Canelo was a big enough star to be the main event somewhere else, he would make more money there. Why be on FMJ's undercard if he had no guarantee from Mayweather that they would fight next? It was a business savvy move by Canelo to fight Trout and be the main event.

You're saying that Canelo deserved all this catchweight BS because he didn't want to be on Mayweather's undercard? That's preposterous! Mayweather would have gotten credit had he just manned up and offered to fight Canelo at 154 without putting in the catchweight penalty. That's why he's not getting credit. I give him credit for offering to fight Canelo, but there was a CATCH and now there's excuses. In reality, the Mayweather Guerrero fight did such poor numbers, showtime lost so much $$$ on that fight that he basically needed Canelo to put up big PPV $$. lmfao.

Is this the same Mayweather that was afraid of Hatton, Judah, Cotto, Guerrero and now Canelo. You guys don't know how to read people very well. What's wrong with being scared? It's how you handle fear that makes the difference. Obviously Mayweather, if he is in fact scared, knows how to handle fear very well. If he is chicken, he's an undefeated chicken. Why would he be scared if he cherrypicks all his opponents? He should already know the outcome before he laces up the gloves.

I didn't bet on trout, nuthugger.

perhaps youre the kind of idiot that will bet on a fighter that will have to outland the other by 40+ punches and win 8-4 on the cards as I said prior to the fight but not me or anyone else with an iq over 100.

    good grief youre pathetic, Undisputed.

fortunately on 9/14 youll no longer be here and the forum will no longer have to deal with you.

remember our lifetime esb ban bet?

152 won't be a good enough excuse if/when Floyd beats Canelo.
